That 3rd game was awesome. One thing I find about watching League games is that I'm cheering on both sides at the same time, which is pretty odd.

So the Garena Team only had one shot since they were seeded and won't get a 2nd chance in the loser's bracket? Seems weird.

It's kinda weird but then again they only had to win 2 series to win it all, where as everybody else has to win 3. Glad NA beat EU, I think as long as NA doesn't do some stupid throws against KR they might actually be able to hold their own. Going to have to watch the NA vs EU games later today.

That brought a tear to my eye that NA managed to beat EU after all of the showboating about how NA is still leagues behind EU in skill during the LCS games.

Which doesn't make sense to me at least in the context of the all-star games.

If we're talking straight heads up between positions:

Support: Xpecial hands down was the more impactful support in laning over Edward with his protection of Dlift and setting Dlift up for a couple of laning kills. EU never did anything to their lane that wasn't at least returned. 1 for 1 when EU ganked for example.

AD: Well, Doubelift showed why CLG plays protect the Doublelift and when other people on the team are a threat his mechanical dominance is just highlighted even more. I'm not as down on YellowPete as most people are. He's Cop basically in that he won't lose you the game or carry the game. He is just consistent. Consistent looks horrible against a DoubleLift playing his A game however.

Jungle: Diamond played one good game between the two matches, whereas Saint had a huge impact early in all the games (even counting that horrible play that got PDD going in game one against China). I was surprised by this because I felt that Diamond had a huge mechanical advantage against Saint (old man at 26 for the scene) but Saint just smashed his lane presence in Diamonds face and the Gambit Jungler was never a threat.

Top: Soaz lost both the 1v1 and the 2v1 in the series. His Zac was pretty good despite losing laning but this wasn't the Soaz I'm used to seeing in the EU LCS. Dyrus was Dyrus. Consistent and being impactful in team fights without being flashy.

Mid: The only matchup that EU won when they actually laned against eachother, and even then Scarra's Karth still had more of an impact despite how scary Alex's Jayce was potentially. Shouldn't even mention the TF game, aside from the backdoor with YellowPete that was some bronze level play. DoubleLift made him and Soaz look silly in that top fight with a little Requiem love from Scarra.

That's mostly true. EU's biggest issue was they didn't put the effort in to try and win. They were also the only team with a language barrier. It was basically solo que team vs an organized team. And look how close both games were.

All of the Gambit folks speak English. I don't understand why this language barrier thing is being tossed about. They choose not too so they can talk shit during interviews and Alex cleans up in translation. Their problem was lack of preparation (intentional because Gambit didn't want to bootcamp), and the simple fact that the best two players on SR during that match were playing for NA.

Yup I agree with all of that.

What is funny is when that fight broke out top with Doublelift...I laughed and said to myself...I hope these fuckers did their research cause if not hes about to pick up a double kill.

Xpecial did amazing and I liked the play where he got caught out but still hooked someone in (forgot who) and got a kill out of it. Him and Dlift also raped hard in the 2v2 skills match.

Can't wait for the next NA game. Hope they come to play.

Also, it makes me wonder if TSM didn't run wildturtle and managed to get Dlift to switch teams how much of a monster bot lane that would be for TSM.

I wonder if this allstar thing is turning some gears in people's heads about switching teams up. Dlift and Xspecial are clearly the best part of the NA team, they are the only two players on NA with the overall knowledge and mechanics to really compete with anyone else worldwide. I mean, no one else is getting straight embarrassed on NA, but Dlift and Xspecial are actually making some other amazing players look bad at times.

I wish Saint was 19-21 haha. His tactics, strategy, and game sense are elite level (barring that recall lol), but his reflexes and mechanical prowess just isn't all the way up there to put him in the elite of the elite category.

I'm just very impressed with Xpecial and Doublelift(and I'm someone who doesn't like doublelift at all). I hope we have a chance vs Korea but I just don't see it... maybe this will lead to some roster changes and Doublelift will move over to TSM?

Soaz squeezed out a win vs Shy in the 1v1. That was pretty surprising.

I swear to god, matchmaking is out to get me. I have had maybe 2 out of my last 20 games where every lane has not lost horribly.

These all star games are turning out to be pretty good to watch, I'm surprised.
