lol. Im just a regular bro. Im an artist really, Ive always shown a true talent for art and design, drawing mostly but I couldnt get the shop I wanted at the vocational high school I went to so they placed me in "Steam Engineering". Which was the throwback shop of sorts, the shop no kid picked voluntarily, so I was bummed. Turned out, steam engineering is the shit, and my best friend was class president in that same shop, so a lot of parties, a lot of practice fucking whores.

Anyway, I got my licence ( to operate high psi boilers) after I graduated. Worked at a spot for 8 years, got laid off because of economy crashing in 2008-09 then took care of my mother for a few years and was out of work for a while. During that time I went to college and ended up going back to work after my mom went back to the essence (RIP). I had a shitty job working for a shitty company for 3 years to get back on my feet and show recent employment. I caught and beat two cases during that time and got my degree in graphic design. Now I work here.

Wellp. I applied for a position I don't think I'll get with another company that would be a significant promotion to executive level and therefore a pay/benefit increase. I am one of a dozen or so people in the country with this specific skill set and experience/knowledge level with specific government contracts, so I will conceivably get at least a phone interview (which is my real goal). I'm sure the CEO and EVP who are hiring know my boss at my current company, but fuck it at this point. If it's going to be "Sorry dude you can't look for better opportunities to advance your career, you're fired!" then so be it, I guess it just proves my point about trusting no one and people not caring about loyalty.

I've kept myself from looking in the same industry so far where all my direct experience would be highly sought after partly because I didn't want to create waves but it's just asinine at this point to keep living in fear of reprisal for looking to advance myself.

I was in sales all of my life. I was great at it, making bank, but I started to hate it too.

I just picked up and moved to Japan. Now I work 3 hours a day and spend the rest of my time playing video games. Life is sweet.
