Woman singular, it's a job. Whether it's the right thing or not for her is a matter of her personal situation.

Women as the gender, both and neither? For a puritan, porn is degrading for all parties involved. Or should be. At the first sight of wrong, people readily go to the defense of women but assume men in a same poor situation deserve whatever they get, so generally people see it as degrading for the women and show little thought for the guys. You could say the women in porn are usually the star of the scene they are part of and everything gravitate around their performance, so in a way it's empowering. Men on the screen are generally reduced to not much else than their cock, which dwarf any argument about the objectification of women you can think of.

That's not what I'd call a hero, but he is an entertaining poster and fairly articulate.

The bad news and the good news of this is that, as connectivity and communication among men increases, so too do many realize that the "right woman" trope is an impossibility, even for the most gracious of women. Thanks to the rise of the internet, we have an entire community of men exchanging their individual experiences with women, to compare and contrast with their own. The good part that it's easy to generate a list of red flags to watch out for, or read about the consequences men have suffered. The bad part is that with that greater understanding comes the realization that even the best of women are still subject to biology, the feminine imperative, and the fem-centric environment they find themselves in.

Yeah, can't say I paid attention enough to see Kirun as a misogynist or anything of the sort, he may have posted some vile stuff in other threads that I havnt noticed but judging by what he posted in this thread his posts are pretty grounded.

I get it coming from Tanooba; if you say anything other than all men are evil to the core and make women suffer under their Patriarchy(s)heit goes into full wharrgarbl rage. But whats up with the others?

The minute you start saying dumb shit like women aren't good enough to be friends, or that no matter what woman you interact with, they are going to be subject to the "feminine imperative" and their biology (his code word for crazy and having no emotional control, which he has said also in his posts), I really don't see how you can see the person as anything other than a misogynist.

Generalizations are handy, but yeah, they shouldn't be confused with hard rules. I'll grant that he coats it heavy at times with the way he paints women are like this or that (he makes subgroups for men, the same thing should likely apply also to women at the very least). But yeah, I find there's some sense in a good chunk of his message, tho some of it should be taken lightly. At least he's bringing a lot more reasoning to his discourse than the likes of Tanooba, so I give it a chance instead to dismiss the entire thing because "woman hater yo".

Misogynist isn't entirely meant to be dismissive. It's not a curse. There is always the temptation to attribute moral weight to these kinds of words. Kurin just lays it on really thick, and he paintseverywoman with that single brush. It is an over generalization which is neither useful or accurate.

But sure, there are women that exist who are exactly what Kurin thinks all women are. It makes a person wonder if Kurin has only really studied about 3 women, was unlucky enough to hit 3 bad ones in a row, decided that they must all be like that, and just gave up.

I mean I dunno. Maybe he's just Italian.

How exactly do you think he is bringing more reasoning to the discourse? As Iannis correctly put, Kirun literally regards women as nearly sub-human. The only way Tanoomba would be as off the rails as Kirun is, is if Tanoomba was saying women were virtual gods that never had any faults.

Dunno man, as soon as I see someone use the expression "privileged male" to base their argument, my lunatic meter tingles pretty hard. That kind of stuff really makes it easy for whoever is arguing for the other side to look sane.

I had really only looked at what Kirun posted in this thread and didn't mentally archive a pattern of posting; so while he was generalizing pretty hard in this thread, his stuff still made some sense. Looking at his posting history, I can see where you guys are coming from. Dude would gain to add some grey for sure.

I imagine Tanooba gets frustrated into trolling. When the only content you take away from his posts are "Men are evil, yo," there is only so much further argument he can make. I notice that Kurin and Antarius only speak their minds on women in either a sexual or relationship perspective. It makes me wonder if they silently seethe at their female bosses, glower at their female friends, and dimly wonder how did we ever come to a world where three women sit on America's Supreme Court. How do they handle their daily interactions with women without collapsing into fear and anger?

Sure. A lot of my guy friends in college were asian. Good people to hang out with and be around, but there was no question of physical attraction between us (especially considering most of them only went for off-the-boat Korean girls.) With caucasians not so much, but it happens. Stayed friends even with some guys I dated. Know it's not the norm, and I know there was sexual tension that was part of a lot of those platonic relationships, but it can be done.
