Hmm the dialogue is awesome so far. It's actually like he has a personality and a connection to people this time. I mean, I always thought that was kind of the entire point of superman... he was not human but became one through upbringing and I always felt the original movies did away with that aspect entirely: when he was Clark Kent he was the distant weirdo journalist with no social skills and when he was superman he was the distant burdened superhero with no social skills.

Now it appears at least he has a personality as superman instead of just 'derp i save peoples, oh shit a green rock'.

Holy shit that might be the best gif I have ever seen. That's also what it's going to feel like when this movie ends up sucking.

Fuck me but this movie can't come soon enough, it looks fantastic.

It looks like a combination of the pathos and non-stop tension building of the Dark Knight, combined with the super-powered action sequences of The Avengers.

2 more weeks.

Wait, is his father alive? I mean he kind of seems to imply that with 'my son IS twice the man you are' & 'you can save all of them'. Would be kind of dumb to say that when your kid was like 3 hours old and flying away in a spaceship having never met him. Plus the other scenes with him having a conversation are a little beyond the shitty hologram recording.

If not, fuck trailers anyway.

i was wondering the same Palum. Maybe some kind of advanced AI personality based on his father like the momery shards from the old superman movies?

Are you saying he didn't kill them in Superman 2?
Yeah, they left that pretty vague in Supes 2.

IIRC, Supes got into the pod that took his powers away earlier in the film, but somehow he reversed it so that he'd be safe in the pod while everyone outside lost their powers. After that they all ended up down into a hole in the floor of the fortress without their powers. Now, seeing as how that hole led to what is under the fortress, and the fortress of solitude was created on ice (under the ice is cold ass water), I assume they died. Or maybe they're frozen or some shit.
