From what I've seen, it looks to be what Richard Donner wanted to do originally with Superman: The Movie. That is, he wanted to combine the origin and the Zod story from the second film into one big epic movie. The producers chickened out and made him cut it into two films, then sacked him and had his assistant director finish the second film.

So far this looks like it'll be really good but I'm trying to keep my expectations low, hoping to be blown away.

Yeah Superman 2 was the 1st movie I seen in the theater , dad took me to see it and i fell in love with Superman. Had this awesome superman sweater that i wore fucking daily and my mom would need to wash it when i was sleeping. Also when i was 3 according to my parents i remembered a Superman floating balloon and i remember that shit so vividly i was in the back seat of my parents car in my seat and see that thing out the side window of the car. Superman was brainwashed from birth to be my favorite and these movies , even the remake with Spacey was enjoyable for me. This just looks epic as fuck , cannot wait.

i pray the origin part from birth to blogger(whatever job he has) is at max 30minutes, get over with the traditional stuff baby in capsul, papa/ma kent finding him/raising him, he finds out he can fly as a child, his superboy phase... all that in 30mins and then just the rest as action. i like amy adams (trouble with curve,the fighter,sunshine cleaning) so she could even possibly be the best woman cast in a comic book movie.
