If you think that the covers relate to his character in anyway, you have never read those Old Superman comics. It was always things like magical possession, mental control or interacting with unstable Kryptonite. And in that era, the covers were so misleading that many times what was on the cover never happened in the book. The writers just put the most controversial thing they could on the cover, and you'd open the book, and many times, it would be a non related story entirely.Comic book derail is showing how unfounded nerd rage is so they are directly related.

Think Superman III, when they make unstable Kryptonite (based on tar) and it makes Superman go crazy, and unable to control himself.
I'm quite happy about that. I couldn't fathom being stuck like you, where I can't enjoy a good to great movie because I have that comic stuck so far up my ass.Your comment just furthers what I stated earlier, most of you haven't read many Superman comics.
