Also, racism was completely socially acceptable 70 years ago? It's also socially acceptable today when you're at war with someone.

Comic book derail is showing how unfounded nerd rage is so they are directly related.
If you think that the covers relate to his character in anyway, you have never read those Old Superman comics. It was always things like magical possession, mental control or interacting with unstable Kryptonite. And in that era, the covers were so misleading that many times what was on the cover never happened in the book. The writers just put the most controversial thing they could on the cover, and you'd open the book, and many times, it would be a non related story entirely.

Think Superman III, when they make unstable Kryptonite (based on tar) and it makes Superman go crazy, and unable to control himself.

For instance, in this issue, Superman was driven temporarily mad by experimenting with Kryptonite, in an attempt to immunize himself against it. He is then split into two people, Evil Superman and Clark Kent. Clark Kent leads the Anti Superman Resistance against him to save the Earth.

Your comment just furthers what I stated earlier, most of you haven't read many Superman comics.

I'm quite happy about that. I couldn't fathom being stuck like you, where I can't enjoy a good to great movie because I have that comic stuck so far up my ass.
