Your facts in this thread are about as on par with how you your reasoning on how this movie was supposed to be.

Pretty much this. I'm okay with him not caring for the movie, I just find his constant need to tell us how wrong we are for enjoying it to be ammusing.

Lyrical is going full Utnayan on Man of Steel and just can't let it go. He just has to make sure that everyone hates the thing he hates. The next step is for him to start taking notes on other posters and claiming he played for the Vikings.

I really enjoyed the movie, but Lyrical has made me see the light and now I hate it.

P.S. Sequel needs more black Lois and hobo Superman (with a holey sock).

Saw the movie last night (in 3d). I never collected or read any comics growing up but still came in to the movie with medium-high expectations and from my perspective, it delivered. Casting and acting was pretty well done, plot was decent and the action was over the top. Speaking of action, not really a spoiler, but the fight/action sequence between Superman and the chick and extremely large man in the small town was amazing and exactly what I expect from people with that kind of inhuman strength and powers to do to each other and to the environment around them...simply amazing and so satisfying. Well worth the admission alone...

This movie was literally the worst movie of all time, and you should feel bad you even paid for it, hell, you should feel bad if you pirated it and even watched it.

I agree with Lyrical to a point, but I think he is being a bit extreme. As far as I know this was A "reboot" like that of Star Trek, new take on the orgin story etc. With the orgin reboot will come a character reboot to I guess. I stated that I liked the movie, but who/what Superman is has been drilled into me for so long that it is easy to be critical of the movie. A few pages ago I spoilered my issues with the movie, if I am going to be critical. I did enjoy it, but at the same time I am not like holy shit I have a whole new love for Superman, I can't wait for the next one!!!111!!1! Am I curious to see the follow up? Sure but not clammering for it.

I was actually more curious to see the follow up to the last one, I wanted to see what they did with his kid. Oh and I really want to see what Kevin Smith would have done with Superman if he ever could have made that deal happen.

Mostly I think I just want to see Jon Hamm play Superman ...

You should feel bad for the kids. Because instead of getting a hero, they are getting an anti-hero. Instead of someone to look up to, they are getting someone who is to be looked down upon.

I fear for our kids, who are going to be subjected to an entire DC movie universe where everyone is a clone of Batman. I'm waiting the the dark and edgy Booster Gold movie next.

Every time you go see this movie, you are contributing to the delinquency of minors, as well as the downfall of society.
