Most of the people responding so far have considered the more obvious result... jealousy and bitterness over the realization that maybe it wasn't a good idea. But sometimes people need change to keep their interest. There are plenty of divorced men in this thread or men with kind of crappy marriages who never tried or even thought of trying anything like this.

As crazy as it may sound to a lot of you, this kind of thing can help a marriage as much as it can destroy one. Different strokes for different folks and all that.

I was wildly opposed tohimsleeping with someone else. That has never been something either of us want. Now I'm more indifferent. And no, he'd never ever force me.

I see a difference between swinging which is usually something a couple does together and open relationship which usually means don't ask don't tell but you're free to do what you want. This smells more like swinging to me, or maybe situational non-monogamy, whereas an open relationship is like "I'm cool with you having a mistress don't bring that bitch around here though."

Yeah but from what I've seen is no one is actually into "swinging" anymore, it's usually like " we are a poly/open relationship couple and could get drunk and have a fourway". Granted this is from the 30 and below demographic, we have sex clubs in town but it's all for 40+ unattractive people or high on meth from what I've seen.

Lindz from what I remember is decent looking, all she needs to do is post a picture on okcupid of her folding socks and she'll be bombarded with offers.
