I love long hair, but my girlfriend has really thick black hair on her head. She's Asian. My house is almost entirely white tile. That shit is everywhere. I vacuum and it's all back within a day! I'm going to install one of those hairnet bins at my front door and have her put one on when she stays at my place.
That shit drives me bonkers. My house is clean as a whistle, girlfriend stays over for a night then I'll then find black hair everywhere for days. Boggles my mind how she can shed this much and still have hair on her head.

I found a decent compromise with my girlfriend since she moved in: she does all the cooking, cleaning, and laundry. So I just keep my mouth shut about the hair everywhere, because I sure as fuck am not going to do anything about it.

So it's like one of those Old Spice commercials except her hair instead of yours that is creeping around.

My wife still has long hair, lo' these many years. I've found her hair pretty much everywhere. EVERYWHERE. But it's still better than her having Mom/Grandma hair. Maybe since we never had kids? Her hair is still brown, too. She might get an occasional grey hair that she plucks out, but I've been grey pretty much for the last 20 years. She looks at least 10 years younger than me, and it hurts man.

I shave my head bald. Nothing more infuriating than opening up the drain in the tub and finding a 17 pound clump of long nasty hair.

In the continuing saga of my dad the fuck up, I'm at roughly $180k in unpaid debts and counting. About half of it is a garnishment from a court judgment he failed to appear for last fall, and the rest is family/friend personal loans. My grandparents kept him out of jail with a 32k loan on Monday but weren't aware of any of this when they did it, and now my uncles and aunt are upset and trying to figure out a way to get it all reversed.

Yay family!

That makes me feel better about my girl's hair all over my house.

Shit man.. 180k is nothing to scoff at, but what would really piss me off is "family/friend personal loans." Are you legally liable for anything?

No, I'm not liable for anything. I'm likely to get some nasty letters or phone calls from collectors for the garnishment, but that's only because they don't have a good address for my dad. In the meantime, I'm able to access information about his accounts and find out exactly what else is out there (which is how I found out about the garnishment, for instance).

Nearly 40k is owed to my grandparents, and about that much to an uncle for an old business debt where he and my dad got into a sibling spat. Another 25k is owed to a friend, who is also his current landlord. Yeah, that's a great spot to be in.

It's a gigantic mess, but the only reason I'm involved at all is to try and scrounge whatever I can to repay my grandparents. The money they're owed was back alimony payments that could have had dad thrown in jail, but they paid it to keep him out. They deserve some kind of repayment on that debt if it can be managed, and honestly I don't trust my dad to do it.

And it's done. Judge was awesome. We got everything we asked for. Joint everything, I keep the house. My wife went, even though she wasn't asked to, and the judge called her up to chat a little too. The judge ended by saying how if every divorce was like this, she would be out of a job. She asked if we wanted to stay and watch her afternoon cases if we wanted to see what she is usually dealing with.

My wife also asked if instead of me paying child support, if we could have no mandated child support, and we could work it out between us. She wants to try to go back to school, and is worried that having to claim child support may disqualify her for loans and such, so she would be happier if I just payed an equal amount to daycare or something to make up for it, and then she doesn't have to claim that as income. Which again, I'm sure half of you are going "You can fuck her now, don't pay anything!" while the other half are going "She is going to want way more now and try to rape you on it!" but I'm really happy about it. We hung out and ate after the thing, cried a little, hugged and said bye. I'm going to just document any money I pay in lieu of child support, so that if someday it ever does get ugly and mean I have something, but again, I don't see it happening.

So anyway, off to California!

That is some serious shit. One thing you can do is write a certified letter to the collections agencies telling them that you don't want them to contact you at home or work for any reason. Trust me, once they get your number they will call every 30 minutes and even call your work. I would avoid making any contact with them with the exception of writing them a letter if they contact you.

Even after getting a certified letter some of these collection agencies would rather make you take them to court. You're gonna have people pretending to be lawyers calling you, you're gonna have people pretending to be state officials, and they will give no shits that your father is hiding behind you nor will they give any shits if they're calling you at work or at home. If they had any recourse to their money beyond trying to annoy it out of you... it wouldn't be you dealing with the bullshit. Anything official and significant which you do not instigate will either come by deputy or by certified mail.

I wish you luck, but I doubt your grandparents are going to see any part of that 40k back.
