This sounds terrible. What's the furthest point you can legally get an abortion? Asking for a friend.

When I worked in early childhood education, the wee ones were especially fond of the Mercer Mayer or Eric Carle books. They were good reads for the pre-K crowd at that time. I think they still hold up as my Great Littles (my nephew's children) also enjoy them.

Ya we have some Eric Carlye and Mayer books. We actually have a ton of books. One of the few things I don't mind spending money on when it is in a bit excess. The learning to read books (with different levels like 1-4 or something) are some of her favorites too. Starting to get her to read some of the basic ones to us.

Also inb4 @Nester bitches at me about parent thread in the marriage thread

You could always say that you pretended to be the Very Hungry Caterpillar and your wife was the fruit?

We spend a lot on books for him too. I like doing it because he gets so happy. Sometimes during the day he'll grab one and come over and just crawl up like 'OK read this dad'

Kids probably got a hundred books or more now.

Don't infract us cadrant

OK I don't think I've ever actually asked for advice here but time to take a break from shitposting and ask.

Have any of you actually had the discussion with your wife about why they dont do the share of housework that is their job? My experience is conversations like this are rarely a net benefit but holy fuck those dishes need to get washed.

Right now I'm debating: conversation or block Facebook at the router and play dumb... is it possible to have this conversation without drama?

Question first: does she know it's her job, as in did you guys have an agreement on who does what and she's not doing hers? 'Cause if not, that topic is probably going to sound like it's coming out of left field for her which means instant defensive stance.

Also, FFS don't block shit on the router, I swear you people treat your women like children sometimes and then wonder why they act like kids.

Man I have tried with this cleaning stuff and it's an uphill battle. Finally after years, she is taking care of laundry at a reasonable rate

She lets the house go to hell though. That new table we bought is just covered with "stuff" . I don't even know. The table is probably my biggest issue and it makes me pretty pissed because we spent a lot on it and matching benches. But.. There is sits.. Covered.

She got mad that I refuse to eat dinner at the table so I thought if I told her the truth it would help. She did not want to hear the truth.

Single income as in you are the only income? If yes, then how is it even a question of whether you should discuss her failing to do her part?!

Correct, I am the only income and we've long agreed on traditional homemaker/breadwinner roles.

On some level I agree theres no question whether we should discuss this. The question is whether anyone has actually succeeded in doing that. I have learned that with women some conversations are no win, and am questioning whether there is a winning strategy for this one.
