Yeah, I realize that. I still hold that if the homemaker actually does their job it is a legit full time job. But yeah... if the homemaker decides to slack off... then it starts to make a lot less sense.

Fucking Facebook. I swear this social media bullshit is a major contributing factor. Sitting around watching TV is obviously lazy and it takes a serious slob to do that. But Facebook gives women the illusion theyre doing something, so you get women who would never sit on their ass watching TV all day but they sit on their ass playing Facebook all day.

Voyeurism, soap box, friend-collecting, 'networking.' Facebook's got everything to simulate a full and active life, all while sitting there staring at a screen. Probably easy to get addicted to.

Even if it sucks, the conversation you want to have with her is something worth having. There's probably 'something going on with her' that is interfering with her ability to function. Sitting around doing nothing while your daily environment goes to shit can be a symptom of depression, but it's most certainly a symptom of her being unhappy at least.

I'll never understand why women keep wanting to do this homemaker shit. It just seems like the most soulless depressing shit ever. Who the fuck wants the extent of their purpose for the day being fucking washing dishes and vacuuming. Yeah, it has to get done but it sure as fuck isn't going to define my day to day existence. Then their only socializing anymore is just hanging out with other dead-eyed women trying to make their lives sound interesting. I don't get it.

My wife stays at home with the kid to raise him. If she swept the floors once a week or got caught up on the table she could probably get by doing a couple hours or house work every week. But that will never happen.

If we didn't have the kid my wife would be working. No way in hell I'm paying for a slug to sit on Facebook all day.
