Not sure which thread this goes in, but I frequent this more. Christmas is my absolute favorite time of the year, and last night damn near made me scrooge it out and pack it up and wait for next season. We bought a pre lit tree last year with LED lights that do all the different color and flash patterns. It was awesome and we had a blast with it all last December. Fast forward to this year and we got it out of the attic, and set it up. Which means I'm pulling it through the stupidly small door and hefting it down the stairs and wrestling it out of the bag, while the kids and the wife argue. Plugged the fucker in and pushed the power button... nothing. Not one damn light lit up. The power brick is separate so the wife is taking that into Lowes today to see if we can replace it. The kids seriously thought we weren't decorating for Christmas at all, after Daddy lost his shit and said screw it. Had explain to them I meant for the night. Happy fucking Holidays.

I got away easy this year. My gf bought a 6 foot fake tree, which turned out to be closer to 5'7". We usually get a real tree and with two cats that tree gets EVERYWHERE. I still find needles from old trees to this day.
