Being a nerd has about zero to do with your attire. Which is what a bunch of these graphic t-shirt wearing kids don't understand. If you want to be a nerd so badly join your computer and chess club at school.

I have a triforce shirt where if you look closely it is actually made up of little icons of all the items and weapons. I got it because I thought it was pretty awesome. But I have also played all the games except some of the handhelds, even on cd-i :0

I have a Zelda shirt I think is awesome, it has a music bar with with the Song of Storms on it with the icons it used in-game in Ocarina and it says "Make it Rain" underneath.

Have 100% completed every Zelda game and went to the 25th anniversary symphony. Original NES Zelda was literally the first video game I ever played, gold cartridge hype.

Wife and I are working a "nerd wall" (her words). She is a great painter and a couple of years ago she painted me this awesome Firefly poster. She modeled it after those 40s/50s brochure covers for national parks where it has like a silhouette of a guy admiring a natural feature. It says "Welcome to Serenity Valley National Park, Birthplace of Liberty" and the silhouette is waving the Alliance flag. I was so happy when she gave it to me.

Anyway, so I have a wooden sword I made years ago that is just like the one in the original Zelda. Painted it to match. I'm going to cross stitch a panel of the old guy (1 pixel per stitch) in the original Zelda with the "It's dangerous to go alone, take this" line and mount the sword under it!

This is only tangentially related to the thread, but talking about Zelda reminded me and shit I'm just excited.

Ha...sorry to continue with this derail, but that is a pretty awesome shirt. But those are the types of shirts that are acceptable because only another "nerd" would get it.

I can't believe you guys care about "nerd cred". I don't have time to give a shit about what some wannabe nerd was wearing the one time I left my house this week to make a code red and cheetos run. I need to get back to my computer pronto so I can continue the grind.

If you care about nerd cred you are not a nerd, you are either a post doc or dumb. Possibly both.

Ps, that ring is tacky as all hell.

My wife got me a Walter White action figure as part of my gift. Nerd cred is me deciding if I should open it to play with it or leave it sealed.

Yeah, I don't get the issue. The poser nerd girls have to pretend to like nerd shit which basically means they have to let you do your nerd shit. Are we really going to get upset at the girls who let you play video games and treat your penis like an ocarina?

Why is that the chick lottery? She has absolutely no life outside of sitting next to him. She sat there for 8 hours to watch you play a video game because she has no personality or hobbies of her own. That is NOT a good thing.

What the fuck is a computer club? rofl, it's 2014, were not in the 1970's anymore....

From what I've seen young kids are barely into chess anymore, they're all about them card games. I'm wondering if Chess Clubs even exist at schools anymore.

I don't want a wall ornament that will watch me play games for 8 hours. Sounds weird. Maybe she isn't, I don't know. I feel like we're not getting the full story here.

Pretty sure we are getting the full story. This girl is really, really young (is she even 21 yet Grumpus)? To make matters worse she came from a cult religious background, so she literally doesn't have a mind of her own. Grumpus it may seem cool that she lets you be as selfish as you want but whether it's 2,5 or 10 years from now she's going to wake up and realize she's never lived her own life and she's gonna rebel. This is a bad decision you're making thinking about marrying such a young woman who has no sense of self or interests of her own.

Ok, I asked before, but is this the same woman he posted about a year ago asking about engaging? The story sound too similar.
