What the fuck is a computer club? rofl, it's 2014, were not in the 1970's anymore....

From what I've seen young kids are barely into chess anymore, they're all about them card games. I'm wondering if Chess Clubs even exist at schools anymore.
Yes, they still exist. In grade school still anyway.

She enjoys watching me play some games. She doesnt do it with every game. She will play her own or ill let her play. Some times she just likes to keep me company and watch.

She does her own hobbies and interests, most of them just happen to be the same as mine.

The day before we went to my friends place and we played board games for hours. Me, her and like 5 other dudes whos girlfriends bitch at them to come home all the time.

I have done the crazy lady math and listened to all your guys advice, and shes just to good to let go of.

I have known her mom my whole life and she's the same way with her husband.

Shes just a cool chic, I dont know what else to tell you guys. I wish there was some elaborate bullshit going on so I could entertain you guys but its just as simple as I have put it.

Ha...sorry to continue with this derail, but that is a pretty awesome shirt. But those are the types of shirts that are acceptable because only another "nerd" would get it.
Yes because only huge nerds have ever played OoT

I don't want a wall ornament that will watch me play games for 8 hours. Sounds weird. Maybe she isn't, I don't know. I feel like we're not getting the full story here.
Yeah I've never understood gaming nerds who think having a partner who also loves gaming is some holy grail. That would annoy me endlessly having some chick just sitting there staring at me playing a game. Does she have nothing better to do? I use the hour or two after work to play games and relax not to have some clingy girl sitting next to me.

We do stuff she wants to do to btw. One night this week she wanted to spend the night on the couch watching movies so I did.

We watched chic flicks.

Ravenous, Harlock Space Pirate and In Bruges.

I mean I'm not that old. I graduated HS maybe 10 years ago and we had a computer club. It was mostly tear down/build up of computer parts, setting up ad-hoc networks with different topologies and some programming. We also had a chess club but that was back when I was more concerned with playing CS1.6 than chess.

I still say move in for awhile first. That's just sound advice. Even my brother who has been with his fiance for 7 years, they've never lived together. It's gonna be nuts when they finally do. I wouldn't want to get engaged without it.

Bros last night something awesome happened. Usually I won't post every sexual romp I have, especially since I'm married and more often than not they are routine. She told me to come up stairs as she had a final gift. Figured it would just be some sex and that's it. I walk in and she is in full lingerie and a thong. She's never worn either before, so she went out and got this all by herself. To say she looked good would be a disservice to her. I think I broke my dick last night bros.

I've read some studies that moving in together earlier can harm the chances of staying together when married. A possible reason being that they don't feel like marriage is different enough from having been dating, and don't take the commitment seriously. It could just be a correlation between people who have conservative mindsets being more committed though. I don't think they controlled for that.

Yeah it's probably because dudes find out the woman is crazy and go "FUCK THIS SHIT" and break it off.

I thought I remember that story being a case of some misleading facts. Something like people who are on their 2nd+ marriage are more apt to move in with their partner then get married but people on their 2nd+ marriage are far more likely to get divorced than people on their 1st marriage.

I dated my wife for 5 years before we got married. Didn't live together till after we got married. I doubt it'd affect anything for us, but everyone is different.

Grumpus, if you don't want to believe that she can change for the worse over dating for a couple more years, look at it this way: If you get married and die an old couple you'll have some 60+ years of married life. Enjoy the dating life while you can, because you'll never be able to go back.

This is such terrible advice! I proposed to my wife on our one year anniversary (of dating). Then again, we were both over 30.

Also, the engagement period is so much better than "just dating". The sex is better. If anything, stay engaged for at least a year.

I think the better question for Grumpus: what do you expect marriage to change? I dated my wife for 10 years, lived together for 4 before getting marriage. The benefits of marriage were so marginal, we held off getting married so that my income wouldn't be counted on her FAFSA. Want to start a family? Want to buy something big together(house)? Want to care for the other person longterm(as in, legal rights to make medical decisions)? Marriage makes sense then.

I dated my wife for 3.5 years and lived together about 2 years of that. I couldn't imagine going from living apart to suddenly living together without an easy escape route if things simply don't work out when living together.

Marriage is also a sign of commitment and love. Some people look at it as just a binding legal declaration, others look at it as a joining of families and others look at it as a deeper level of a relationship they are ready to take.

Without knowing them personally, I wouldn't tell Grumpus what to do. They've been dating for a decent amount of time, it's not like it's been 4 months.
