I've gotten out of work a couple times for hurricanes. When I was younger, I thought it was great. Now I'd rather work than risk my house and car getting fucked up.

I got woken up at 2am to the sound of hail. But it was actually just the wind knocking all of the sphere shaped objects off of the trees in the parking lot and them landing on the roof of the car ports. I live in California so hail made no sense and it was way too loud.

States have to invest a large amount of money to prep for weather like this. They choose not to do so because weather this "extreme" isn't every year. It's not worth the money when they can let it blow over in a couple days and move on.

Why drive to work in shitty conditions when I could not drive to work? I've got nothing to prove here.

I pretend to work from home. In reality I haven't done a damned thing all day except make an excellent breakfast, dig out my car, and play Dragon Age. I should probably read this book before class tomorrow, though.

Yeah I didn't do shit either. My wife asked me (who was also working from home ... actually working) if I play WoW professionally now since that is all I did.

I'm assuming you live in Edmonton? You don't receive that much snow per year. In fact, I think some parts of MA will get half your yearly total today and tomorrow.
Uh, I'm in Cold Lake right now, we don't get much snow there, but I've also lived all over Quebec, Ontario, New Brunswick and Saskatchewan. Some of the locales I've lived in get 3m yearly. Ive seen snow.

Haha not sure what you're trying to prove I guess. They told us we couldn't drive today so we didn't. As long as I can work home I will, rather not risk my life

I already got in the first car accident of my life last week when some cunt rear ended me because she was "waving at someone". I don't want to drive next to those people in one of the top 5 blizzards of all time for my state.
