Wife just had a kid, we want more but health wise doctors suggest not getting pregnant for 18 more months. We're struggling to decide what to do for contraception because we hate all the options. Pulling out worked for us for years though. I feel like that's the direction we'll go because we're lazy.
If you want the most reliable option the pill is the best one. Condoms have like 8x the failure rate of the pill.

It depends on the average amount of sex BrotherWu had in comparison to the average sexually active couple.

For all we know he was seeding the fields thrice a day every single day of his life.

I have a buddy who is the proud father of twins with a batshit-insane baby mama thanks to the pull-out method.

We do a combination of condoms and other activities. Thankfully neither of us are opposed to using toys and my wife has many talents

.

We didn't want to do birth control and have first hand experience as to why pull-out doesn't work. If you do decide to go pull-out, and are under doctors orders to not get pregnant, I would do it in combo with therhythm method. Only difficulty in trying to introduce the rhythm method is it could be quite a while before your wife starts menstruating again, we are almost 6 months in and nothing for my wife yet.

Condoms suck but some of you guys are a little ridiculous with the refusal to use them at all.

"If I can't have prime rib... NO BEEF SHALL BE EATEN!!!"

Personally I just make sure to get really wasted before having sex. Semen can't drive drunk.

Being drunk is pretty fool proof for me. I can't even cum when I'm drunk.

Condoms are definitely terrible, but I'll use them if it's the only choice. My gf has an IUD right now, fortunately.

You also have somewhat unreliable protection offered by the fact that she's breastfeeding. That coupled with pullout should do the messy trick.

I was always under the assumption that every man produced it, but perhaps I was incorrect.

Just like teaching me that quick sand and killer bees would be a big threat when I grew older, the public school system has failed me once again.

Well, technically, he is the proud father of twins due to not pulling out.
He swears up and down he pulled out before he finished. It supposedly IS possible to impregnate someone with the pre-cum most guys leak before ejaculation.

I only do pre-cum if I get to the very edge of coming and stop. These days it takes me long enough to come where everyone involved is ready by the time I am and I just blow my load. If you're cutting it close and stopping, then there's a much higher chance of pre-cum.

Out of curiosity are some of you bozos using the cheap porn shop condoms? My wife and I are between kids right now and are using condoms. Since I'm not a teenager working for minimum wage I spring from the thinner condoms from a decent brand. Of course they don't feel as good as being bare but they're not the complete cock shield that the cheap ones are.

Yea, this might cross into the TMI realm but absolutely nothing comes from my cock until I squirt. No fluid of any kind. No drips drops or leakage.

No its pretty clear it doesn't contain sperm. However if there are sperm in the urethra from a previous ejaculation then the pre-ejaculate can pick it up and put it out.

Pull Out Method - Withdrawal Method
No, it's not pretty clear, different studies have yielded different results including one where men did pee between orgasms to flush it out and the pre-ejaculate still had sperm in it.

Here's another interesting factoid:Sperm content of pre-ejaculatory fluid
In every case where an individual subject produced more than one sample, he either did or did not have spermatozoa in all of his samples. In other words, it was never the case that a subject sometimes had spermatozoa and sometimes did not.
The subjects who were found with sperm in their pre-cum always had sperm in their pre-cum. Weird science stuff.

Get a vasectomy. They're reversible, and really quite effective.
biggrin.png

Seriously, though, before the vasectomy we used condoms, and they don't bother me at all. Especially if you have a partner who insists on finding crazy hot ways to put it on for you. Use them right, throw in some spermicide lube, and it's safe. I have several friends who use the natural family planning method where they take her temperature every morning, and count days, and keep track of things. It's actually proven to be quite reliable provided you stay really on top of you cycle and accept that there will be several days a month where sex is just a no go.
