And Phazael, no need to be worried. Worst case scenario it doesn't work out. I don't see her shitting in my bushes. I'm happy right now, she's happy, we're having a good time. There's no big issue's here, despite everyone's desire for their to be.

As I said, I'm aware that her hoping from one long term relationship directly into another one isn't typically a good idea. That being said, stranger shit has worked out.

Why would it not be a good idea for a long term relationship after a long term relationship?

We're not fearmongers. We're normal human beings who have normal human being interactions. Unless you're in an Asian culture were discussing finances like this is common it is very abnormal in American culture to be that upfront talking with (for all intents here) a stranger about them.
You think its weird the guy who shares his deepest personal shit with a bunch of strangers on the internet might be upfront with actual people face to face in real life dealings? I'm upfront and honest with people, that tends to make people open up and tell me stuff they don't usually say to people. I think I've mentioned I'm not qualified for my job at all right? I've gotten where I am today not through any actual work talent, but through personality and likability.

I understand its not common, I wish it was, but it doesn't mean she's trying to lure me into something, just that she feels comfortable talking to me openly, because its obvious I do the same.

Because that's a clear sign of someone with dependency issues. Most normal people enjoy some single time from relationship to relationship not already having a relationship dialed in before the divorce papers are signed.

Jesus, you are like a naive little puppy. Also, nice admitting you are completely useless professionally.

I would argue it depends on the situation. The last couple years of my marriage were filled with loneliness and rejection. I didn't want to be alone at all when I got out of it. I wanted to be happy and loved.

If I had been in an abusive relationship, or was in a depression or something, sure, I can see what you are saying, but when you have decent self esteem, and have been longing for a connection to another human being for a year+? I just don't think that's odd, but that's obviously just me going off my own experience.

Ohh fuck off, I said I'm not qualified for my job, that doesn't mean I don't do a good job at it. Way to bring some valuable insight to the thread though!

If my wife divorced me today I'd become a full time video gamer and hiring prostitutes. Another long term relationship would be the last thing on my mind for a very, very long time

You act like a child starving for attention. It is sad someone with children acts out this way, seriously.

Yes, you think you have an awesome personality that has gotten you a job, but saying you aren't qualified for a position ia indicative of lacking appropriate skills or knowledge to perform adequately.

I would go into a divorce treating every relationship like it might be a marriage. When you purposely go into this things not wanting a long term relationship you rarely get one out of it and then you wonder why you are on your 10th woman in a single month.

What's with the shift in attitudes around here lately?

I've read the entire thread, and it used to be Onoes would post a story, and we would get a laugh out of it, maybe a few holy shit you fucked posts, or whatever, but it was fun. Now, he posts a story, and it's pages of calling him names, and busting his balls over his choices. Some being nice, some others not so much.

It's like the fun is all gone, and it sucks.

If my wife divorces me I am 100% never getting married again. The idea makes me nauseous. Even a long term relationship would be a hard sell. I would spend my off hours gaming, fucking around with my servers, or financing the education of young ladies in America.

He doesn't learn from us or change for us. It is only a matter of time before we move out and file for divorce from him.

Yeah that sounds about right to me. I've only been married a year and a half but that's about enough to turn me off ever again. It was too much work.

Wow, that sounds awful. Why even be in your current marriage if it's had the effect of making you never want to be married again? How good can that be?

You're misunderstanding. Relationships require a lot of work and I put a lot in to get us where we are today. I have no desire to ever again do all of this.. I'm all or nothing right now. I can't see myself ever wanting to court a woman for a couple of years, spend a year planning a wedding, pay for a wedding, buy a house together, raise a family - if it doesn't work out down the line then I'm resigned to the fact that I'm not doing it again.

Perhaps my wording was off.

Edit: Her not eating leftovers is one of the greatest perks I have going right now

She doesn't eat any leftovers.
How I wish I had this "problem". My special lady friend doesn't eat leftovers 90% of the time either but always says she wants some of the leftovers. So every time we have some in the fridge, I get to play the game of figuring out whether or not she's actually going to eat some of it. My two choices basically boil down to getting yelled at for eating it all or letting it spoil.

I get yelled at a lot.
