You keep this up and we might just have to stage an intervention.

So my married coworker has informed me that her husband and her are going to try an "open" relationship. She was hitting on me pretty overtly the other night when a few of us (her husband included) played beer pong and hung out; got pretty drunk. Nothing happened then but she basically propositioned me today via Facebook. She's decently pretty face-wise but has a one of those "hot damn" bodies. I told her I would need explicit permission from her husband if anything was to happen; he's a good guy and I respect him. Oh yeah, and they're moving to Germany in ~3 months.

How terrible of an idea is this?

Worst part is coworker because it could get legal regarding the workplace.

Other than that don't get emotionally involved or allow her to. I have no trust in the word of these women. The only way for me to get through it is to treat it as a booty call and nothing else. I've never been close to a woman's partner that I've been with, but then I've rarely known there was a partner to begin with. So how you handle your respect for this guy is beyond me. I always get justifications such as the partner pursuing other women beforehand, but, given that I'm usually not made aware of the partner to begin with, why would I place any value in that?

If the workplace issue isn't significant and you can maintain distance it's probably alright for a short period. I don't see myself asking a guy permission to bang his wife or banging a guy's wife without his permission. I get that it's a catch-22, but that's just me.

It isn't a terrible idea at all at face value. We all hear terrible divorce stories that end in bitter rivalry and vengeful payback, maybe they realized they still loved each other enough emotionally to stay together but were just craving something else physically. Sex complicates things in a monogamous relationship, it still complicates things in an open one but as weird and backwards as it sounds, in my opinion and experience, it complicates things less.

If it wasn't a co-worker I'd say have fun.

There is a 100% chance that shit is gonna get weird. And when it does you're not gonna be able to just bail.

Most of my bad decisions involved alcohol and pussy.

Not this time, though. This is good advice, Brikker. Do it.

Post a body shot so we can properly judge risk vs reward.
