It feels like 35 is old until you are older and in a much better place. I think I started all my divorce stuff in here when I had just turned 34, and I remember feeling like "I'm so old, if I end this marriage I'm probably sighing up to be alone for the rest of my life... but at this point it's probably the better option."
Cut to 11 years later, WAY happier, in an awesome relationship, and at 45 I still feel like I'm just getting started. My wife and I are going to Hawaii in a couple weeks to celebrate 10 years together.
Seriously, all the doubt and uncertainty and hardship you push through now will go away so much faster than you expect. Will you have random little moments where you get sad or feel alone? Sure. You'll go to a movie alone, or just come home to your quiet empty house and feel sad on occasion. You will probably also start going out more, finding hobbies, enjoying your time alone, and building new friendships and relationships. I've been through it and I've seen friends go through it and it always seems to go the same way. If you guys split up tomorrow I would wager a thousand dollars this time next year your only regret will be "Why didn't I end things sooner, this is soooooo much better."
