I think Andrew's Spider-Man is better, but his Peter Parker is far worse. He sounds way too cocky/arrogant outside the costume for Peter Parker.

Yeah Andrew Garfield's Peter Parker is NOT the 616 Universe's that I grew up with and Toby's is much more in line with that. Then again is that Andrew's fault or the writers?

Who cares? It's fucking awful. It's not ANY Peter Parker. Every time some dipshit tries to excuse that awful hipster sk8erb0i bullshit as "Ultimate" I want to stab their dog. I read Ultimate for years, Ultimate Peter is the same as normal Peter. He's not that fucking guy.

Peter Parker masked vs. unmasked had an entirely different bravado, just like most comic book characters. I think that Andrew Garfield's sarcastic, cocky, arrogant portrayal of Spider-Man inside the suit is fairly on the mark. Much more than Toby was(although, he had his moments). However, I'll completely agree with you about his portrayal of Spider-Man outside of the costume.

Tobey Spidey was making quips and talking fast while fighting, you know LIKE SPIDER-MAN HAS FOR 50 YEARS.
Garfield Spidey was a complete asshole to one car thief and not being witty or clever for the rest of the movie. What were you guys watching? I'm seriously baffled. Just to make sure I'm not crazy I went and watched the sewer scene, lot of people like that, cool concept with the web(that didn't work). Spidey says nothing for 4 minutes and after he swims away he says "that sucked". So I guess I'm wrong, amazing banter.
This, however, isn't even a Tobey vs. Jon Ralphio thing, that's all writing. Garfield absolutely could deliver good Spidey banter if they wrote it in. And I'm thinking in the new one they will, if nothing else because Peter should be more comfortable as Spider-Man.
Fact(not opinion!) is Tobey in SM1 and 2 was a better Peter Parker AND Spider-Man than Garfield in ASM 1. Garfield had better CGI for his movie though=P

I'm sorry, the clever quips while fighting might be a "Spider Man" thing and may work well in the comics, but in all of the Spider Man movies it feels stupid. Especially since the voice-overs never ever match the on screen action and sound like very obvious voice overs.

So it's official, the unnamed Marvel movie slotted into 5/6/2016 that WB put Man of Steel 2 up against will be Cap 3.

After the huge weekend and rave reviews for Cap 2 I'm betting WB will move the date of Man of Steel 2 or Cap 3 will beat the crap out of it.
