I understood that it's not counting Xmen and Spiderman. I looked it up and I thought it was a lot more movies, but I guess Cap 2 is only the 9th MCU movie. So 9 movies to top the 8 movies of Harry Potter isn't as ridiculous as I thought.

It's definitely unprecedented, but I think with the way they're tying these together, they can be considered related enough to be compared to other franchises.

There are some Disney executives laughing their asses off on the way to Scrooge McDuck's money vault for sure.

The end-credits sequence for Winter Soldier left me scratching my head though.

The setup with Baron Von Strucker and "the Twins" doesn't seem like it has any way to be played out properly in any movie between now and Avengers Age of Ultron. Does this mean that we are going to get a cold-open sequence showing the Avengers taking down the Baron and associated HYDRA peeps before leading into the overall larger plot? This allows them to rehabilitate the Twins as part of a "we need new firepower" plot element in the story since Ultron would not know immediately how to counter a speedster or hexbolts?

I'm okay with this, except it means that Baron Von Strucker gets short changed in such a scenario

also, this sets up the public to identify with marvel's version of the twins instead of fox's. kind of kicking fox while they're down, but i'm cool with that.

realistic mostly works with batman and to a lesser degree, ironman. after that, realistic superheroes are stupid. one guy is made of rubber, another is made of rock, another turns into fire and another makes herself invisible... realistic is not really what i'm wanting out of that. "The Realistic Four!"

Was just doing some reading for another thread and thought it was interesting enough to post.

Rumor is they'll so World War Hulk after Avengers 2, and Avengers 3 will be Planet Hulk.

And it makes some sense. They showed a Kronan in the last Thor movie. I mean, even the armor matches Korg.

Plus they're very actively expanding the universe to the galactic scale, so shipping Hulk off to another planet isn't far fetched.

I kind of like the idea, gladiator Hulk would be absolutely badass on film.

I hope you are right as Planet hulk is one of my fav stories of all time. Sadly i think they just needed a baddie for Thor to smash.

Yeah that part is just my wishful thinking. Thor smashing Kronan's is canon, he beat some of them up on Earth in his very first appearance I believe.

Which I only know from the flashback in Planet Hulk when Hulk is talking to Korg.

Thing about planet hulk is that banner isn't in it. Which is a bit of a problem for mark ruffalo. Kevin feige talked about how they found a banner that they and the fans really like. Planet hulk would step all over that

Kind of a small thing, but I was rewatching Avengers last night and I saw Agent Sitwell on the heli-carrier. Apparently he was also in Thor and a few eps of Agents of Shield (Garrett also mentions that Sitwell hand picked some people in 'Turn Turn Turn'), but he had a fairly big role in Cap 2. I was just kinda astounded that they planned for him to be in all these places, yet he was such a minor character in the events leading up to Cap 2.

He was also in the shortThe Consultantwith Coulson from the Thor DVD, and starred inItem 47from the Avengers DVD.

He's been a real part of the universe for a long time.

Says to me that Marvel isn't afraid to step in when things aren't up to the standards set by their movies so far.
