Yeah, that dudes fights scenes are always good.

The biggest question is who is the Ancient Inhuman they are preparing to bring back.
isn't it Will?

We also have to give SHIELD credit, after many seasons of boring "Basic Agent Jock", they were able to turn him around to the Ultimate Heel

Huh? You talking about Ward? Many seasons? He started his turn after like 17 episodes in season 1. And we're only in season 3 right now...

Of course, Coulson actually had good thing going with that woman and now he pretty much killed it, or at least horribly maimed it.

The thing I'm happiest about is that they connected everything together into a single plot now instead of us being stuck following 3 separate subplots until they connected them near the end of the season.

Bad Guy Ward is such a badass.
Yeah, so glad they didn't go the most predictable route and had him seeking some sort of redemption. It's great to see him really embracing his role as a villain.

She'll be impressed by his totally ninja spy skills. It'll work out just fine for him.
Not to mention he proved he was completely justified in not trusting the ACTU. Can't really blame the guy for playing Ros to uncover the conspiracy going on right under her nose. Perhaps they'll be able to commiserate over being infiltrated by Hydra.

More like Coulson is an actual spy, and not just any spy the Director of all the spys. She's just been in intelligence for a few years, while he Black Widow'd her.

As far as Marvel film-verse go, isn't dropping an origin story for Hydra a pretty huge chunk thing to do in the TV serie rather than in a movie? Or is that origin very well known in the Marvel comics-verse?

EDIT: On a side note, I am glad that Roz was not a double agent, but, in a way, it's also a let down. The tension between her and Coulson is what made the character, so, now that there is total transparency, her character becomes a lot less interesting from a storytelling stand point.

I think Hydra is sort of an also-ran as far as the movies are concerned now. So the show(s) are free to use them as they see fit.

so hydra's secret power is that little lava lamp thingy? how the fuck is anyone going to get inside that? at least the one that ported gemma was a huge rock that makes a plausible doorway. good episode, but it was kind of lame that hydra's big hook was that they got a homie stashed on another planet and meanwhile they have a inhuman factory going on on earth. potentially, can they produce supervillains of equal or great power than the super hydra guy on that planet? how did he end up there and how do they know if he is still alive? i mean, we know he/it is, but they really dont since gemma only told mockingbird and fitz about her time over there.

How has no one commented that the Chairman from Iron Chef America is Magneto? Best part of this episode, imo
He does a surprising amount of acting. I remember him from Stargate Atlantis too.

That's just what she wants you to think.

I always enjoyed the show, but it keeps improving the more it goes into serialized vs procedural of season 1.

I never hated the good Ward, but always thought he was kinda boring, and one of the weakest part of the show. His turn to bad Ward was totally awesome and unpredictable, but I always thought they would go the cheesy way and try to redeem him, but no...they seem to have totally embrace him being evil...I think he's beyond redeemable, and has been for a while...and that's a good thing because he's awesome at it.

I really loved last episode...I bet something awful happens to Fitz or Simmons next episode to keep them apart again...damn universe.

Given that the origin of Hydra is now tied to Apocaly...err ancient inhuman with god-like powers and they had the monolith in their possession in the first place I suspect we will see that Hydra has more ties to inhumans than they had originally let on. Then again it makes them using Loki's staff to try and create enhanced vs. getting ahold of some Terrigen crystals and producing inhumans rather silly.

They didn't have any Terrigen. It was all in possession of the hidden Inhuman faction or locked away in a temple no one who hadn't undergone TAHITI knew about.

They've actually done a lot of origin stuff on the show, not just Hydra.

We've had Kree talking about where the Inhumans come from etc.
