I can see Column's point on the spoiler thing, but I've probably done it myself before (although being on the west coast used to make that impossible until I started torrenting), and I know it isn't a popular opinion anyway, so I have simply gotten into the habit of not clicking on a thread for a TV show any time after leaving work for the day until I've actually seen the episode. Invariably it is going to tell me something I don't want to know, even if it is only, "Episode sucked" or similar. That comment about Skye was super early for anyone not on the east coast though, you have to admit, so it would have been nice to use spoilers. I typically try to err on the side of caution and use spoilers myself if there haven't been a lot of comments about it already, but not everyone feels the way I do, so I just avoid the thread entirely.
Now, when someone puts a gif of the UFC fight that night in the gif thread or comments about something in a totally different thread where I can reasonably expect not to get spoilers, that's when my jimmies get rustled.
EDIT: And since a post was added while I was making my post, that's still a pretty big spoiler about the episode (Skye having powers), whether it has been hinted at or not. We had no idea if it was actually going to come true or not. Trying to defend it by saying it isn't a spoiler is just silly. Hey, they've been hinting that Ned Stark was going to be executed for several episodes now, this episode they just went ahead and did it. No spoiler there, right?

Well Peterson is under Centipede control again. He has the ocular device and lost a leg from the bridge explosion. If you remember from the end of Jan 7th's episode they showed all that. Also when he was on the SHIELD training coarse he asked if he beat Captain America's record and the instructor laughed and said "Not even close." So he is sub Captain America power level but way above normal human. Probably just below normal Asgardian level maybe.
My guess is since the new kid is going to the Sandbox as well we will be eventually having a break out from there.

It's harder to introduce super villians until you get more super heroes. They won't use Blizzard or Graviton until SHIELD has more ways to counter them. Of course, I bet there will be some downside to Skye's possible powers so they can't rely 100% on them.

once a show airs its fair game, no matter how big the reveal is. you should not be checking threads of shows the soon after a new episode airs if you have not already seen it. i havent even seen this episode yet but because im 80% fed up with this show, im looking for spoilers to keep me interested.

and you had your little tantrum at 4 am EST/1am PST, the show did not "just happen" on the west coast by that time either. movies do not enter into this conversation because movies are 90m-2.5 hours long and you pay to see them and most people dont want their money and time spoiled.

the only thread thats ever had a restriction about spoilers was the NO SPOILERS game of thrones thread and it was still ok to talk about an episode after it had aired. what you may be fuzzy on is the context of the restriction. you can not spoil a show before it has aired, that means if you see a future episode off the net, then you cant talk about it until it airs. there is also the nostradouches who start hinting at stuff on the NO SPOILER GoT thread when they have read the book and try to look like they are the smrt when their little predictions actually happen. i will agree the modding on what is a nostradouch got way out of hand, but those are the only restictions on that one thread.
