Just saw the episode and enjoyed it a lot more than Winter Soldier. I even found the Ward vs Guards fight to be better than those of the movie (the Coulson crew vs Garreth crew fight was somewhat lame though).

I know they went to great lengths to show that Hand was killed, but then I thought she might still be alive because it doesn't matter if the rounds were lethal or icer rounds:

- Ward caps the 2 guards and then Hand with lethal rounds. Result: High ranking shield agent is dead, Garret smiles.

- Ward caps the 2 guards and then Hand with Icer rounds. A couple extra rounds just to make sure/be a dick. Result: High ranking shield agent in Hydra custody, Garret smiles.

Garret's reaction is going to be the same. They probably want us to believe she's dead, then unleash the "shocking revelation" that Hand is still alive and needs to be rescued, or is brainwashed to serve Hydra.

that chick isnt dead neither are the 2 guards. Ward had too many opportunities to reveal himself during the episode to wait for this moment. plus the trailer for next week already spoiled it.im still curious though if Ward butchered those guys beating him on the ground with that little knife.
Yea I was thinking the same thing. With staff magic remnants going through him it's possible...I mean he was on the ground getting kicked/beaten by what..5 guys maybe 6? Then he bursts into Skye's hidey hole and they continue onto the room.

That guy to me is not the clairvoyant, to easy to wrap up in a nice little bow. Someone/thing had to be giving Mike Peterson his tech. I don't think Garrett is the one giving the orders/tech.
The name HYDRA implies more than one head....even if Garrett was one there are likely others. Having people take over multiple locations from Shield like the "Tree" seems a little beyond the scope of this guy to me.

Oh and Samuel L. Jackson is confirmed to be in for episode 22, the season finale. Let's hope Nick Fury says this:

I think it is more likely that he actually is HYDRA and is just having a conflict of feelings than being an actual intentional double/triple agent. The fact that he spilled his feelings to Lorelai while he was under her influence kind of proves his core feelings may be truthful and they will probably play up the inner conflict (support HYDRA or "follow his heart" as sappy as that sounds).

He was Hydra from the start, but still wants to bone Skye so it is possible he may someday redeem himself (by dying) or try to turn her (most likely)

Best hint was the knife - I'd say he abandoned the pretense of being all non-lethal and started carving bitches up.

i have no doubt he has inner conflicts, but im pretty sure Ward is worming his way into HYDRA to fuck shit up. if this show gets renewed, they can have infos on the remaining hydra from what Ward found out. so at worst, Ward pulls a darth Vader and turns from the dark side at the end. or best, Hand got ward to do this so he could find out how badly shield has been compromised and who all the secret hydra agents are. either way. Hand is not dead and when ward "turns" back to shield, everything will be hunky dory again. if garret is the clairvoyant, it really makes no goddamned sense unless he was using Zola and the algorithm to do his bidding.

I wish I had your unshakable confidence that Hand is still alive in the face of all the evidence to the contrary, because I really do like her. Particularly since she added the pink to her hair, that's a weakness of mine.

she is a marvel character and marvel would not let a low rated tv show kill one of their branded characters?

edit after reading her wiki page. marvel would not let her character be killed in such a manner. with only a few appearances.

Sorry buddy, but looks like she's really dead.

IGN: This is another question that you may give me a similar answer on, but can we also assume that Victoria Hand and those other unfortunate gentlemen are definitely dead?

Bell: Let's say that Ward definitely killed them.

IGN: [Laughs] Okay!

Bell: It's the Marvel Universe... But he definitely put three shots in her, and he killed her.

IGN: It wasn't the ICER he was using at that point.

Loeb: No, no. He iced her in the old-school version of "iced her."

If Ward truly ganked them, then that pretty much rules out double-agent. No way would SHIELD sacrifice one of its few remaining leaders, and certainly no way that Coulson would ever agree to it.

Right. No plot is going to involve the willing death of a high ranking agent, especially since the "reward" isn't exactly a leader of Hydra.

Ward burned his bridges when he did that and there is pretty much 0 way he could go back to SHIELD/what is left of it. I think the "honorable sacrifice" to make amends is a solid theory.

remember that dorky flashback ward had about some kid drowning and he didn't do nothing, and thats why he is now protecting ppl, maybe instead he was the kid doing the drowning, and he's just been evil all along, that's why he was so easy for loreli to turn, it's his nature. (while she can control men, i have to believe that as an agent of shield, a level 7, you have had some sort of anti-mind control training, or something like that)

also let's look at the levels,

hand says that coulson and her are the last highest ranking officers, hand is a level 8, what's coulson?(i'm pretty sure he's 8 also)

fury is level 10

what or who is level 9, also what level was garrett?

also why is coulson so emo about may reporting to fury? at this point coulson literally has zero friends. garrett is now his arch nemesis, hand was his equal now dead and sitwell, bald/blackguy betrayed him(he was even in the silly shorts with coulson). he's gotta take what he can.

well shit, the way hand set ward up to shoot garret was so odd, i thought it was a ploy of some kind and the stupid teaser made it even more doubtful that he was true hydra. i will hold out small hope because that interview sounded a bit misleading, clone or decoy perhaps? i still think we have not seen the last of victoria hand.

When did this show get good ?

Serious question, I want to watch it, but I want to skip the bad "episodic" episodes. So please tell me when the good narative begins, at which episode ? Thank you.

It was kind of gradual improvement other than ep 17, which was great by any standard. Ep 12ish maybe ? I'd probably start from 10 though, everything from then on starts to tie together so some things won't make sense otherwise.
