Keep in mind different artists will draw characters different.

I didn't really like how they pushed the "caring about people is a weakness" angle with Ward. I think following the every order of a fucking psychopath is a much bigger weakness. I'm curious about the direction of his character. He was gonna tell Melinda May something before she crushed his larynx. Maybe he's a triple agent or something.

A Triple agent that murders mass SHIELD agents? Unless they do some type of retcon and go "lol, they were all Hydra agents in secret!!! I no kill bad guys!!", then I doubt it.

the best way for SHIELD to get shittier is if they decide to redeem ward. he wasn't even a good hero but he makes a decent enough antagonist. if the acting and oaderire and personal relationships were better done he would have made for an even better villian, except that because of shitty writing, he basically just lost his job to affirmative action.

I'm guessing we'll see more of a redemption arc for him. Even though he was a double agent, they tried to keep him a sympathetic character by showing the only reason he ended up with Garrett is because Garrett was the only person to ever care about him. He never had any allegiance to Hydra and even while being manipulated by a sociopath, he was still able to retain his humanity (ie couldn't kill the things he loved). They portrayed him as being damaged but someone who still had some good in him. This season we'll likely see him have some connection to the new big bad that forces Coulson and Skye to have to collaborate with him, or we'll see him break out and end up making some selfless sacrifice.

I'm hoping this doesn't turn out to be the case since it's really the most predictable thing they could do with his character. I think it'd be much more interesting to have him go the opposite direction and completely embrace being a villain, but considering the whole Skye/Grant relationship that's been so central to the show since the beginning, I have a hard time seeing the writers not try to get them back together. Basically, Skye and Grant will be the new Buffy and Angel - except with far less nuance.

Who do you guys think Skye and her parents really are? I don't know if Skye has any inborn powers, but there's an interesting theory that she'll become She-Hulk.

Yeah, I got the idea from a fan theory page and realized it made no sense right after I posted that. Of all the theories I've read, her being Inhuman makes the most sense. I don't think they'd introduce major characters like members of the Royal Family, but the show would be a good springboard for the Inhuman movie that's coming out. We know the alien in the tank is Kree so I don't think they're afraid to explore these other races.
