I am the opposite, I found Skye way more tolerable this season. For one, the show wasn't so focused on her like it was the first season, so that helped, but on top of that she was much more mature and steady under fire as opposed to crying at the drop of a hat, like she did most of the first season. In my opinion she wasn't even any more whiny about the dad stuff than any normal person would have been. First season Skye would have been a blubbering mess. She's moved way up my likability meter this year. She's always been atop the fuckability meter, obviously.

I didn't expect her to shoot Ward, but I smiled. I still think he's a good guy, but that's the most believable behavior she could have chosen.

Shield captured a big blonde guy who broke in to a restricted area. They didn't target a metahuman. At least if I remember right he didn't even have powers when they got him and they had no reason to think he did.

I was just being a smartass, but the protocol thing isn't too solid. Mostly for the reasons lanx stated.

I don't think Ward is "good", but I don't think he is evil either. He will probably rationalize the shooting as "Skye put all the bullets where I had body armor and where she knew it would be non-fatal...she really does care for me!"

Wildcard Ward is the best thing they could have done with that character. I wonder if they had that planned from the start, or if it was due to fan reaction to his dull character. Even the Asgard staff and Laralie episode Ward was dull.
That's one of the reason this season is working better than last, there are multiple wildcard factions; Ward, Cal, Talbot.

I wonder if/when they'll kill off the mercenary cuz you know mockinbird's sole purpose in marvel is to be married to hawkeye,

otherwise i like that she's actually a useful character on AOS.

I hope we don't have a season of daisy (calling her that from now on cuz sky has always been a stupid name) "finding" her powers, too bad whitehall is dead he would have been the perfect character for her to use her last ditch move, quake his brains inside out. Otherwise there isn't any big bad for her to really kill, unless ward has like coulson or may at gunpoint.

Tripp is alive and well. Think about it. The Tripp scenes in the last 3ish episodes have been with him and Kaning(s) asking all sorts of questions about them. They're setting up Life Model Decoys but there will be something about how they were only able to make one before the machine broke.

The Whitehall that died didn't even say anything, so I'm guessing some minion had one of those mimic masks on like Agent 33 has welded to her face. No way does he get taken out like a bitch like that.

He basically went from 80 year old man to 50 just by getting her organs and DNA/blood. That screams regeneration powers so he'll be fine.

I wouldn't mind Whitehall being dead even if it's just temporary. I like the idea of Agent 33 and the rest of the brainwashed Hyrdra sort of being cut loose and no longer knowing what to do and the fallout that results from that.

Whitehall was just a high ranking Hydra officer. His death won't set them adrift in any large way, just 33 because she was directly brainwashed to be tied to him. Someone else will take over the rest of whatever he was doing. Cut off 1 head etc etc.
