I just wear different shoes until I get into the office
This. I live in the sub tropics so no snow where I live, but lots of rain. I check the weather in the morning and choose outfit that can take a bit of rain. So tropical wools, linen if its light showers,(blazer or cotton if its not raining) and I leave the expensive shoes or wear rubber soles until i hit the office.

So... I realized that my fashion is way out dated. I dress like a teenager, and I need an overhaul. I'm talking both with work attire (shitty polo and jeans) as well as comfort (t-shirt with jeans or khaki shorts) Is there like someone you could see that is up to date on fashion and can look at your body type and tell you what would work for you, or is it simply a matter of looking in a magazine for the styles and lots of trial and error?
The best advice I can give is to find a friend (male or female) who knows how to dress well and ask them to take you shopping. Get an idea for a budget you want to spend in total for the day, and they can usually plan out how many shirts/pants whatever you need.

Alternately, get married and your wife will buy clothes that she likes to see you wear. Problem solved, and you don't have to go through the agony of shopping yourself.

Except when you have more shoes, and more clothes than your wife. She asks me if things look good or not. lol.

Been at my job 7 years, and the office is even shutting down in another year. We recently made the switch in dress code to allow jeans every day. When that happened, the overall dress code has declined. People get away with flip flops even. Full on cotton T-shirts. etc. To hell with dressing nice, and spending all that money when no one else around you gives a flip.

And Trunk Club has amazing, good quality clothes, I have no doubt of this, but do you want to spend $1000 or more per outfit?

It's not $1000 and it's not just one outfit. Still, it's overpriced.

They're pretty slack with engineers here and the dress code. Technically we should be in business or business-casual, which I adhere to mostly. The other day I saw a dude with a hawaiin shirt unbuttoned with a tank top underneath, blue flip flops with no socks or anything, and some beach shorts. It was kind of jarring and I suspect him to be a turd.

You think socks would have improved that...?

There is no conceivable way those are worth that price. Made in "Imported" out of what I can only assume to be top grain at best leather and a rubber sole. Maybe if you got them 66%+ off or something I'd consider them worth the price.

Cool looking shoes but not really my style. Seem a bit too trendy for my tastes.

I'm with Tenks on those shoes, I don't think I could support them with my current wardrobe.

Well that's the problem, they are an outfit shoe. You can't just throw them on with half your wardrobe and look good. Which is why I won't be purchasing them. But I really like the color so I bought these instead (with matching belt of course):

Which also come in a few different colors like these, which are pretty snappy too

Wtf, how about making a size bigger than 13?! Fucking wankers. I should go kick them straight in the ass with my size 15!

The shoes are, as far as I know, handmade. So you can probably call up and have them ordered (if you're talking about Allen Edmonds)

Good point. Wonder what the premium would be on that. Probably not worth it.

In general they have molds for all the shoes and sizes so it isn't quite as easy to just make them a size bigger if you don't have the last (mold).
