Last update (few months ago) he was around 248-252. Means jack shit when you put on weight suddenly in your 40's. It's not quality weight.

He's basically bragging about having a gut. Sure I guess that might help his base when Jones goes to throw him, but at age 42 it's certainly not muscle. It's like Rampage at HW.

What is impressive about Pereira is his ability to conserve his energy while still being massively effective. He is putting in minimum input and getting maximum output. His non significant strikes are significant (jabs and leg kicks) and is able to have enough volume to keep his opponents honest and the judges satisfied. On top of that extremely solid base of S tier stamina, size and power, he has also shown an incredible chin outside of his one loss to Adesanya at welterweight where he was drained. He ate Rountree's best offerings, so he isnt really vulnerable to strikes at LHW, and also has above average if not top level takedown defense.

Thats really all that is left for him, to show he can handle a top wrestler type. Thats why him going to HW to fight Jones makes the most sense now. He can capture the greatest MMA fighter ever crown in one fell swoop, triple champ, beat the best guy, defended against everyone before that. At some point Jones shine is going to completely wear off and he is going to be too old for the fight to really have the impact it could have. Thats why Dana should get this fight made sooner than later.

For the second time in his UFC career, Fremd weighed in three pounds over the limit. He also came in at 189 pounds for a middleweight bout against Jamie Pickett at UFC Vegas 78 in August 2023, later going on to defeat Pickett by unanimous decision.

Gooden has now missed weight three times as a UFC fighter. Most recently, he came in six pounds over the limit for a fight with Carlston Harris in March 2023, though on that occasion he had accepted the bout on less than a week’s notice. He is 0-2 after failing to make weight.

The washed up 41 year old who has gone 0-6-1 in his last 7 fights with the NC being Marijuana and not Steroids? He's embarrassing himself.

One of the greatest combos of all time. He should have retired (and stayed retired) at that point.
