he had a couple years on being on the sauce, so maybe will carry over. sorta funny the day he announces a come back, t-freg announces he will be taking the rest of the year off.

Is T-Ferg staying in the testing pool? Over a year off sounds like no.

How does "testing" even work in the UFC now? Its so confusing. There is no more actual sanctioning body that does testing for the UFC right? Or is there? THere are like 5 guys I could name off the top of my head right now that are obviously on that saaaaauuuuuuuuuce.

Drugfreesport does the tests then Combat Sports Anti Doping a new UFC created org does the actual sanctions and penalties based on the tests. It's a mish-mash since they booted USADA.

Ok what? That all sounds wrong

In collaboration with drugfreesport. CSAD is it's own entity separate from UFC but had to be cooked up in partnership since they didn't have one. CSAD hands down multi-year penalties for what would have maybe got you a 1 or 2 year suspension under USADA. They're the real deal and the message has been sent just because UFC jury-rigged and made up a new testing partnership system together doesn't mean it's soft on drugs.

You can't just replace USADA exactly how you want on short notice. There was no USADA clone ready to fill in for them.

That all may be true...but the fact remains there are some fighters on the roster who are on SOMETHING. I guess thats always been the case, but post USADA era has been ...quiet. Not many suspensions or steroid stories/scandals etc. And then you have guys like Court McGee at like 40 years old in the best shape of his life fucking shredded to the gills and performs better than he has ever before. There are numerous other tenured/older UFC fighters who have suddenly got in phenomenal shape. One guy that comes to mind is Joanderson Brito.... the guy looks like a cartoon character.

The list of people who are truly "clean" is tiny. I've spent significant time around MMA fighters and adjacent combat sports participants. They're all using everything they think they can get away with, even if that's only substances they hope will work but aren't on the banned list yet. The smart/rich ones have better doctors, better dosage, timing and masking agents, and lawyers/doctors to get therapeutic use exemptions.

Spin the Women's league off into their own league, like the WNBA. And do a deal with woke, progressive ESPN to host all their events on ESPN+.

We will really see how much people are into Women's MMA. Come on Dana, I dare you.
