Probably some bullshit with commission approval. This is the first event in NY for about a year.

Definite advantage for Jones and Wiedman.

The older I get, the more I've started siding with Dana, LOL.

Stipe was a whiny bitch after he lost to Cormier and Cormier got Lesnar. Then Stipe was bitching about how the UFC treated him, and Dana was like 'What? We've treated him great?? He lost...that's the issue."

I have family who are firefighters and make that hefty 24hr shift money. And I guess I get why Stipe doesn't want to give it up? But man...he's never felt like he's dedicated his life, his career, to MMA. And I'm guessing that has come across to fans and the UFC, alike. Stipe treats it like a part time job. He doesn't even put his heart into promotional work. I'm not saying he needs to pretend he's Conor or anything, but God damn, dude comes across like an overcooked potato.

At this point, both Stipe and JJ need to retire. Stipe is just showing up for the OCCASIONAL paycheck, and JJ is just looking to 'cement his legacy' and is just fucking around at the moment. But he wants to fight Pereira too? I can't even wrap my head around that one.

I feel for Aspinall, but he probably just needs to ride it out. It's not like the HW division is deep or anything...just keep collecting the paychecks. He might even just find himself as the champion some day, without even having to fight the Champion! (LOL)

After some revelations in this "promo" for UFC 309, seems the UFC management got a whiff of that whole "I'm a firefighter first fuck all that bullshit" early in Stipe's career and that shaped the amount of effort they are willing to put into promoting him. Even just getting a whiff of it would have any promoter thinking twice about spending money on a push. Add to that the guy can't make a single compelling sound in an interview. Chuck Liddell at least had a cool grunting effect when he didn't want to answer a question.

The glove change is why I love this UFC card for bets. Its absolutely HUGE, as it changes the complexion of a lot of fights.

Jon Jones inside the distance is at -250 right now, if you play that with;

Ruffy by KO (-150)

Bo Nickal by KO in 1st round (+200)

Jim Miller inside the distance (+250) or Under 2.5 (+126)

You can cash.

If you are feeling the vibe and think Chandler is live with old gloves you are looking at +210. If you add Moura at +110, thats a 6 leg parlay at +13450. Its SUPER DEGEN but, all of these things have a good chance of happening. There is no way anyone can look themselves in the mirror and think fucking Damon Jackson who got fucking annihilated in his last fight is going to overpower or outlast Jim Miller. I love Charles Oliveira, and I wouldnt be surprised if he slept Chandler again, but the difference this time is going to be Chandler not willingly engaging Charles on the ground at any point. I think Chandler can out strike him early in the fight and maybe just get him out of there. Ruffy by KO is almost a guarantee, Llontop is a Peruvian punching bag, and Nickal by KO in the 1st is live considering he just knocked out his last opponent in less than a minute on top of Craig being slept bad in HIS last fight. Stipe isnt beating Jon Jones and the fight isnt going 5 rounds. Just going with Chandler and Miller is a fat stack if you throw a unit on it.

Yea I hedged against that by having a couple wagers based around Charles winning by TKO or SUB, but I kind of feel like Chandler can win if the fight stays standing. Especially with the old gloves. I also feel like Chandler winning is higher drama and better for the UFC as it sets up a trilogy and would be the better story. The only reason why Im not all the way in or Chandler is there are reports that came out tonight saying he has staph. There is a picture floating around of a staph looking wound on his arm near his triceps. If that is the case, he is fucked and will just be gassed by round 2. He could still starch him on the quick but....I am not so confident in my plays now that the staph news dropped.

they really don't respect him,

imagine going,

"hey you, yea you, the interim champ, go get in shape and be a backup to the real champ fight"

yea on the embedded jon says at hw, he doesn't have to cut weight, so thats his walk around weight
