I'm a little surprised he apparently did zero work on his biggest flaw and still just walks through low kicks. He's going to be flat footed and useless late in the 4th and in the 5th again at this rate.

Lawler looks a little lost out there :-/

*edit*

I should revise that to 'Lawler looks like shit'. This is not the same dude who fought in March.

Yeah, Big Rigg seems to have this well in hand at the moment. Can't believe Lawler still hasn't worked on defending leg kicks.

I used Faber as an example because he just fought tonight in the prelims. CM Punk has definitely been through it, but again if he was such a trainwreck, I doubt Dana would sign him. Obviously there's no way he gets anywhere near a title shot at Middleweight or Welterweight, but he might be something more than just an embarrassment.
For Dana there isn't much of a downside. If CM does well then he brings a ton of fans, if he gets wrecked then Dana gets to play his"The UFC has the best talent and is the most competitive org in the world"card. If the UFC had signed Fedor it would have been the same thing - either he does well and they get a fuckton of Fedor homers interested or he gets wrecked and then you would have had Dana reprising his"Fedor fought cans in a bad promotion that was rife with corruption"angle.

Robbie hurt him bad at the end there with the elbows. Was anyone not pulling for him to finish it with that last rush, after Hendricks went full stall mode for the entire 5th round? Johny did almost no damage to him the whole fight.

Wow, they did NOT award Johny shit for all those extended takedown attempts with no offense. I don't necessarily agree with the decision, but I like the thinking.

Wow. 49 - 46 had to be for Hendricks, right? It was for Lawler but still, how the fuck does Lawler get 49 - 46 in that fight?

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. So many of his takedown attempts were what is normally considered "control" but it really doesn't do shit towards winning a fight.

I am all for that decision, Lawler took 1,4,5, hiding between Lawler's legs is NOT effective offense.
