Ben Saunders vs Erick Silva added to Fight Night 62 in Rio in March. Guaranteed fireworks as long as it lasts.
On paper it looks like win for Silva. Saunders is like a taller, skinnier, and less skilled Matt Brown. But he's a bit more grapple oriented, and who knows how he'll react to body shots. Plus he's got decent gas so if he weathers the early storm he can make Silva's life a real unhappy existence. He uses his height(6'3) to land clinch knees and to threaten/sink in subs from any angle on the ground. He does not particularly use it to keep good range, which is stupid. He needs to sit down and watch Cerrone/Alvarez and learn that stifling knee, and watch Semmy Schilt running through the best strikers in the world using his length. Maybe watch some Klitschko's to learn that killer jab.
