from the recent rogan/white podcast, it sounded like white said their intention of signing on or "bringing in" (that's the word i remember) holly holm, was so that she could fight Ronda, so this might well have been the whole gameplan, again i know 0.0 MMA and just listen to a drug addicts podcast.

I watched her previous MMA figts (not the UFC, cuz they're all banned on youtube), and in those fights, Ronda could have taken her, she was probably a 4, in 193, she's a fucking 10+. In her previous MMA fights shes timid and doesn't even want to "finish off" ppl or can't even really, and is doing more kickboxing. In 193, she only threw like 3 oblique(sp?) kicks, 1 kick to the shin, 1 sidekick to the face, and of course the headkick.

Or maybe it was just the training camp, she said she trains against all the men in her camp. Is this what women do? cuz she said there are women in her camp but they're like 115, so she needed men to "feel it".

They absolutely brought her in to fight Rousey, but if she loses to a nobody (anyone but Rousey) then those plans would change.

It's totally plausible that Holly was sandbagging fights in the UFC. The talent gap between her and most of those fighters is ludicrous. She fought the #19 and #9 fighters before Ronda. Any female outside the top 5 is fucking terrible. Holly wasn't in any danger against those scrubs. She absolutely paced herself and didn't unload like she's capable of.

Look at lanx's review of her, based on UFC fights. He's an MMA tard but even he can see she was half-assing it. Any of you who paid attention when I started pimping her 2+ years ago knows that's not her game. She's a finisher.

I doubt it, have to remember the UFC is everyone's promoters, and they put the fights together.

If I'm a nobody, I am doing everything I can to impress them to make it to a title fight.

Nobody knew what was going to happen in that fight. You are fool if you thought you did, and you should have bet the house on it if you knew the outcome.

If Holly was that confident she could destroy Rhonda at any time why even hide it? Was she scared the UFC wouldn't let her fight their golden goose? I doubt it, because if you are murdering everyone they put in front of you then the fans will make that fight happen regardless.

No amount of training Ronda could have done could prepare her for how good of a boxer/striker Holly is. That fight happens again it will be the same result.

I wouldn't say sand-bag, but she didn't press either previous fight nearly as much as she pressed Rousey. They literally look like different fighters. Now, whether that's due to it being a championship fight and adrenaline or something else, I have no idea. But stylistically the Rousey fight doesn't match up super well with the previous ones.

And honestly, I'm sure they were eyeing her for the Championship fight regardless, since she had quite a bit of non-mma hype behind her and Rousey had mopped up the rest of the division. Simply winning was all that was really necessary to get her to the big show, and her performance in those previous fights certainly didn't show how top-quality she theoretically was. She may have simply been trying to avoid getting hurt or dangerously caught because she knew she would be getting a title shot. But I don't really think that she kept her normal form intentionally before going super sayajin on Rousey.

If it was a Men's fight sure. It wasn't. The gulf between the best female fighters and the rest is absoludicrous. Raquel Pennington and Marion Reneau definitely fall in to the "rest" category. They didn't stand a chance against Holly, not even the punchers chance that every male fighter has.
