It isn't the ref's job to save someone's life, it's the ref's job to stop the fight if one fighter is unconscious or not intelligently defending himself, and neither of those things is an accurate description of Damm when Herb stopped the fight. Now it's more than likely that Iaquinta would have gone on to finish there, but that was a very early stop.

I think that closes the book on the myth of Uberreem. He was just a big fish in a small pond. That dude is a joke in the UFC sadly.

Seriously. His only UFC wins are a TKO over a Brock Lesnar with more than a year of cage rust, and a decision victory over Frank Mir. Meanwhile all 3 losses of his have been relatively embarrassing.
