Neat build planner that allows you to pick a set of skills, adjust their levels and it will bring up a list of armors / talisman / decos that have everything you wanted.

What Gunlances are you all using? Been crafting the Normal ones mainly but right now I'm using a Wide one. Still in Low rank so maybe it does not matter as much there.

But whats good once you reach High rank?

In other news, carted once to the Rey Dau refight, but the rest of the apexes went mostly smooth, Nu Udra is still a mess, but I was rather pleased with getting 3 clashes with Uth Duna and basically being a humanoid howitzer. Also, Gunlance feels really, REALLY strong. Good lord... Going to have to try the rest of the weapons out once I wrap up this questline.

How do you make a "manual radial with craft all"? This is on console, btw.

Just curious, but can anyone check their Field Guide for Nu Udra (High Rank) and see if a "Nu Udra Flamegem" is listed as reward? I need one to upgrade the Burst charm, but my Field Guide doesn't show it as a part to get.

But does it show up in the Field Guide for Nu Udra in its reward list? I finally got one, but it just doesn't show up in the list for me.

Swapped to great sword for a bit, what a beast. Put a little block on it to get use to it from lance and may just keep it that way. Holding the blade up against a huge flame attack is anime as fuck.

I've been using it as my second weapon and it is really dank in this iteration. Offset smashin, good repositioning tools, guard cancelling animations, cool wound break etc.

Guard Up 3 is really nice in all weapons that can make use of it imo especially if you don't time your perfect guards well. You won't miss the 2% damage when shit is dying so fast already.

There is no obvious option to make the craft item into a craft all on ps5. Sub Menu option just has Unregister. Edit/Register only lets you change the item into something else and register it.

If anyone else who knows how to make a craft all option for Ammo on a PS5, I have a stream open atm, haha.

Edit: Got it, I had been placing the Ammo type directly on the dial vs. going over the Craft Item list and selecting the Ammo type from there.

As an aside, does anyone remember the good website that has the monster/item/gear info from all the MH games? My Google skills are down in the age of AI. It wasn't a wiki (I think) had some weird name

Good site to confirm decos you might be missing.

Was hoping there were 3 slot attack/* or crit eye/* or crit boost/* decos and I had just been massively unlucky, but this confirms they don't exist.

qumatrice one and two until Arkvad.
then at HR when you get Arjakan that comes with loaded shells so you can slot 2 and 1 artillery.
eventually back to Arkvad tree. Wide seems the way to go for speed runners.

I been playing the hell out of this game. I initially started with the charge blade and I got to a point where I’m good but not good enough to take on tempered monsters. Played it until HR and quit. CB imo has to go through too many steps to get going. First you have to charge the phials. Then you gotta energize your shield in order to do a SAED attack. Then you have to energize your axe either by doing an open wound attack or execute a perfect gaurd and then you can unleash the damage. Just alot of work for an old man like me.

So at HR I tried SnS and it’s pretty amazing. It’s very mobile, does good damage and can block attacks. I did SnS until I got some of the BIS gear like gore magala set and ebony odagoron set. Did a few Arkveld solo runs and started farming low level tempered monsters to make Artian weapons.

Today I got the itch to try Gunlance and I’m glad I scratched it. GL is a monster to play but I had to to get use to the play style. Staying in focus mode a lot was something I wasn’t used to. So I practiced at the target dummy to build up my muscle memory for a few hours. Then I tried some monster like Doshogamu since he’s very aggressive. Fought him many times to get use to fighting with the gunlance. Then from there I killed Rey Dau and took me 3 tries to kill Arkveld once I figured out his patterns. Today was the first time ever I solo killed Arkveld. I usually get the support NPCs to help me kill him. I still make a lot of mistakes cause I’m still learning but I’m definitely way better now than I was earlier today. I just been solo killing mid star tempereds for decos and fine tune my craft. Tomorrow I’m gonna go at Gore Magala solo to see how I stand up against him.

Depends on your play style. Like blowing your load all at once (Full Burst)? Go normal. Want to charge your shells and shoot em (Think of it as a shotgun)? Go wide. Wyrmstake your thing? Long.

I always play full burst personally.

Maxxed a couple Arkveld sets. Maxxed a couple of Lances, Gunlances and a GS. Maxxed the artisan lance which is beast by the way. It does a little spinny animation and color change when maxxed to 5/5.

Guess I will farm some gems...

Also has anyone started a FOH guild or whatever?
