It enabled frame gen by default if you didn't catch it. Might need to turn that off.Anyone else having issues with the controls/delays when fighting?

It was turned off for me.It enabled frame gen by default if you didn't catch it. Might need to turn that off.
Yea kinda sad it perform so bad on SD. Maybe it will be better at full release, coping.Def no go on the steam deck (latest oled). Game is fugly and then got to first boss glitched and crashed. Went again and crashed again. :'(
For greatsword; Do the offset attack into the anime body cut...feel like Guts.Definitely going to be a day 1 buy for me. Game runs excellent on my machine but I got a pretty beefy PC. 4090 GPU with a 9950x CPU. I have everything turned up at highest setting at 1440p x 3340p and I'm pulling a constant 120-140 FPS.
My favorite weapons is the swag axe, hammer and gunlance at the top of my list. The mount can act wonky at times controlling it for me but overall it's a great addition. You can sharpen your weapon while on it. My biggest complaint so far some of the hits don't feel as so "impactful" as they were in World. When I used the greatsworsd and used the TCS I actually felt it when I hit the monster but it doesn't seem that way in Wilds. Feels like your hitting the monster with a wet noodle.
after really diving in, going lance for first weapon. It is just a machine, love everything it is doing. The triple stab, the counters, the damage on block, the clash, the wound stab, the mounted stab, the hop back double stab. poke..poke..poke...pokepokepoke. Can't wait to see what new armor skills we get.
Bow is my secondary, no more coatings ammo and the fuse attacks with the seaker arrow. ALL THE EXPLOSIONS!
Yeah same as always. With the Seikret running after mobs though isn't much of an issue so it's not nearly as useful but you can charge behind a mob before they get to full speed and ram them to sometimes force them to fight again. Not enough stam stuff in the demo to go very far either. Is there a shield charge on lance?
I hate dual blade playstyle but for sure they are awesome in wilds.God damn, I was adamant that I was going to play a new weapon and not just play dual blades like world/iceborn. Tried Longsword, felt pretty ok. Tried hammer, seemed good, thought I probably found my weapon. Tried lance, didn't enjoy it. Tried gun lance and was like, well crap - this is pretty cool, maybe hammer isn't my weapon.
Then I was like "Well I should at least try dual blades and see how they changed". Cut to me playing dual blades for hours. Fuck, they feel better than worlds somehow!
Speed run no but consistency of progress, 100%. Took on the horde of three dogs that ended up being 4 and just smashed them all. Dungpods…what are those?Yeah same as always. I'd say the biggest change is the constant shield bashes, everytime you block and get a low block reaction, you automatically counter with a quick shield bash. That leads to stuns, and damage scaling off blocks, and also will likely make Guard 5 more desirable(it was already pretty nice for more casual gameplay but often for more agressive damage builds you'd cut it down to like 3 or something just 1 or whatever).
Still not gonna be the best speedrunning weapon most likely but I really liked what I've seen out of lance and being mostly a lance main I'm happy about that.
Yea I found it much easier on controller. I started M+K but quickly switched.Never really played a MH game before - I am guessing controller is more or less mandatory? KB+M seemed to be extremely clunky
KB+M options are kinda fucky in this build, might be better in release. World was definitely playable with, there's some weirdness compared to some other standard, but it was quite solid once you rebinded stuff. I used to dabble in Bow with kb+m cause I can't aim for shit on a controller and it was pretty good. If you're ok with a controller though obviously the game was originally designed for that.Never really played a MH game before - I am guessing controller is more or less mandatory?
