Eldrazi is one of the strongest T1 decks around and costs between 650-1200$ depending on exact build, and thats online store prices straight from mtg top8. Its also straightforward to play, with a lot of "free wins".The low end for a competitive deck that does not run ABU duals, but is still not burn or some weird outlier, is probably around $2,000.00.
I'm not sure how much legacy merfolk costs, but it may be a good bit cheaper come to think of it, especially if EMA lowers the price of force of wills. I feel like most people arent looking to play legacy merfolk tho.
To be fair, the problem was WotC's fault in this case. Doesn't make it any better, GP Los Angeles almost encountered the same database corruption bug but they avoided it by pulling the internet cord on the score keeping computers.GP Charlotte apparently shit the coats. Event software is broken so pairings are being done completely at random, and half the event dropped after round 4 to get refund-badge.
Makes me excited for what Passtimes will do at Minneapolis next week to assert their dominance as "Terrible Event Runners."
I've played this guy in constructed. And this is exactly the kind of card I want in the limited decks I like. The Greatest Reprint of Our Time.
