3 Male team made a mistake by not securing water sooner. It was a rookie mistake and Hakim paid for it. Honora just pisses me off, I dont watch this show for the drama, I watch it see people outwit mother nature, for drama there is 100 other shows like survivor.

So I was rustled by the show last night, hippy guy giving away the knife while jersey guy had it right, "you get your knife when u bring me mine."

Honora has no intention of completing the challenge, she just wants to see the everyone fail.

Wait, i think you missed the part where Hippy guy thought and was under the guise that if she got her knife, she'd quit and leave, in effect Hippy guy couldn't stand her shit no more and was like "just take it and get out", he wanted her out of there b4 she could do anymore damage.

I think at that point, he stopped being a gay hippie, and was just being a man, "holy shit just go, go!"

God damn does Luke have some patience. I can't believe he kept his cool through all that bullshit. I would have wanted to choke her out then and there.

EJ and the Mormon kid really got fucked on their location although I agree that they should have found water before working so hard on the shelter. Now that they have water I think they are going to start to do better. I wonder how long the love fest with the 3 women is going to last. I am hoping that they do well because Eva is my favorite and I like the lost chick as well. The two cross gendered teams are a train wreck because the two crazy people are there. They should really send Shane and Honora off to some exile island. I bet you could give those two a pizza a day and they still could not survive 40 days together.

He is mostly controlling himself so far in the edit at least but he is crazy. I would have been making fun of him too if I was watching him try to use that piece of shit bow that he brought as his one survival item.

BTW, they must have banned fire starters for this? Seems like everybody is using bow drill "kits" to start fires.

We also watched the eps 10 w/ the green barret guy and house wife, my wife was like "holy shit that mosquito net is awesome", you see them just fucking wearing the net in the afternoon one time to get away from bugs.

Aside from XL cuz it's great w/ that psycho chick, i wanna see a couple w/ a total PSR of 10 or less survive, it's really bullshit when like 99% of the men are "survivalists" and they are either paired up with women survivalist or housemoms. I wanna see 2 nobodys go at it. Or like "look these two are couch potatoes, look at their fat for proof, we only gave them 2 days of wilderness training, lets see if they survive".

I don't think the mosquito net is a bad choice when you know that there will be other people there and the pot and fire starter are likely going to be there anyway. One of the main things people deal with on this show is lack of sleep due to bugs and apparently it can also be used to catch minnows.

Shit, seeing how people get ATE UP from the mosquitoes, I'd almost pick the net above all other survival tools.

Anyway, Naked and Afraid XL is fucking great. That shit with Honora had me rolling. And damn she was quick. BAM knife snatched, in the water.

i dunno, the mosquitoes are a big nuisance when you are trying to get 5-7 hours sleep, but ya know whats a bigger nuisance? dying from exposure or starvation. and unless you plan on staying under that mosquito net all day you have to take it down so you can build a shelter, build a fire, hunt for fire wood, food and water the other 17 hours of that day.

I don't know, shelter creation and basic food acquisition is like Survival 101. Not much you can do about biting bugs in the middle of a forest. I see a lot of value in the mosquito net, it has no natural equivalent.

Yea i mean in a clutch situation, you could make your own bow drill set, so you don't "need" a fire starter.

while a knife is almost invaluable, you could whack 2 rocks together and get an edge that way like cavemen.

and we've seen ppl cook on rocks, drop red hot rocks into water to boil, coconut bowls, that you can sorta replace a pot.

But like lenas said, you can't make no mosquito net.

and did you see the end of eps 10? they got all that sickness from the bugs.

I'm honestly surprised that these people do not get sick more often after the show due to the amount of bug bites they endure. I remember one girl who said it took over a month to recover (including losing hair) from getting really sick on the show.
