What do you think it would cost? I think you undervalue Oak a bit and I prob overvalue but do you see the possibility of trading him straight up for Ingram? I think there is a very high chance lakers make a deal like that. And i bet they call us about it. If so, I'm bringing Russell up as a prerequisite to that deal being made. That leaves Russell for picks. Which we have. Next year we have the lakers 1st(unprotected) ours and the rights to swap 1st Rd picks with the Kings. It wouldn't even surprise me if the lakers wanted to trade Russell straight up for Oak. Obviously I'm having a little fun kicking this stuff around but i don't think it's as impossible as you think. Again, it depends on how they go at FA. If they can convince Durant to sign there and go trade for PG, well that team is looking pretty good with Oak under the rim than Russell at PG because you can still go out and get a guy like Conley to run the offense.

Ok. I'm done my GM fantasy trades!

I wouldn't trade Okafor for Ingram but I could see why the Lakers might. You aren't far off with that idea. In general you're undervaluing Russell, who was drafted ahead of Okafor and still has more potential than him or anyone in this draft. He's their future and I can guarantee the Lakers value him highly. That Nick Young video bullshit doesn't decrease his potential.

Interesting. You think Russell has more upside than Simmons?

Can't wait for the game tonight. Those teams are so fun to watch play each other. You get the sense GS is just going to come out and try to run them into the ground but Durant really didn't have a great game last game and if he gets hot, the outcome is so up in the air.

They're pretty close but yeah. Russell was the man in college on an absolute shit Ohio State team. Players with his scoring ability and court vision mix don't come around often. I get Simmons potential. He's athletic, has that court vision and has great size. Players learn to shoot. I wouldn't worry there. What worries me about him is you can't call his college career anything but disappointing.

I think you're prob the best NBA poster we have but man, I really disagree. You're talking about a guy who can play almost every position on the court and play it well. He didn't help himself by going to LSU, his coaches sucked, but keep in mind, he still averaged 19 and 11. His size, vision, speed and overall smarts really raise his ceiling to unlimited heights.

Saying I think Russell has higher potential doesn't mean I don't think Simmons doesn't. I get the appeal. I get Ingram too. Russell is still just a very good prospect.

It's hard for me to argue that. I wanted Russell dispite his lack of athleticism. Ben Simmions is just a different kind of beast and I certainly wouldn't give up our pick for Russell.

I almost don't believe if you're the GM and you have to choose between the 2, that you choose Russell. I'm calling bullshit my friend :). Simmons just too rare of a player compared to Russell.

Neither of these teams are playing their A game. It's such a compelling series. KD really starting to get going tho. GS in trouble if they let them hang around.

Tonight is do or die for the Dubs. Losing two at home is too big of a deal to come back from, but a GSW win swings things back in their favor. Doesn't mean the Thunder couldn't still pull off the upset though.

No it doesn't. OKC just has to defend home court at that point. This game is icing for OKC.

I know part of GS game is flashy ball but I think they are being overly cute with the ball and need to cut that shit out.

Of course they can.Game 2 should not have an impact on who you think is favorited from this point out. GSW was always going to win game 2 after that game 1 loss.
I'd have to imagine Thunder being up 2-0 vs being tied 1-1 should have at leastsomeimpact on who you think is favorited.

It's going to be weird next year when we find out Luke Walton was the mastermind in Golden State.

thank god, was worried he was going to replace Brett Brown. I hear he's a real dick to the players!

The point was more that a loss would have been the end of the series for them. I still think GSW wins though.
