Yeah only 7 different teams have won a title in the last 10 years.

Pretend all you want. You know I'm right. It's a fucking retarded league, where all the stars are allowed to congregate on a select few teams. Oh my gosh it's gonna be so close between the Caves and the whoevers! or the Warriors and the whoevers!

Justify to me why a team is allowed to acquire a top 5 player after just breaking the NBA's all-time wins record. It's fucking retarded. You know it is, I know it is, everyone knows it is.

I agree, freedom of choice is for faggots. Socialism all the way.

Seriously thought Gaige was the only one in the NBA thread that would have a meltdown when their team lost.

I won't have a meltdown this year as I fully expect GS to beat them. It's a another win win year for me.

If they repeat it'll be incredible that they were able to beat the best team in basketball back to back with them adding legit MVP caliber player.

If they lose its a 67 win team plus Durant. Of course they lost.

Yeah only 7 different teams have won a title in the last 10 years.

This is a decent point...but 5 of those teams (Lakers, Celtics, Heat, Spurs, Cavs) were either semi dynasties or teams specifically built with key free agents grouping together to win a title. Only the Mavs and the Warriors won in the normal organic way, and the Warriors with Durant have turned into one of those free agent super teams now.

Also, if you look at the preceding 27 years to the last 10 (1980-2006), 4 of the 7 teams (Lakers, Celtics, Heat, and Spurs) won a combined 15 of those 27 titles. Not exactly "new" faces to being Champs. Of those other 12 years, 6 were the Bulls with their two 3 peats, 3 were the Pistons (including a back to back champs run), and 2 more were the Rockets winning back titles. Only 4 single time champions since 1980, and it's a good chance Cavs/Warriors Finals happens again this year and eliminates another off that list.

On the other hand, if the Cavs upset the Warriors – which would be the second-biggest upset by any MVP on this list — LeBron will actually have 0.4 more titles than expected, and his three titles in seven finals appearances would have been harder to achieve than Kobe’s five titles in the same number of trips. Or to translate that to sports cliché: LeBron would still have a losing record in the finals, but he’d have earned his rings the hard way.

LeBron’s Finals Record Isn’t Really A Disappointment

My all time favorite LeBron article.

So explain to me how you fix it. Rather than whine and moan in here about free agency, why don't you offer a solution?

Seems silly to complain about 1980-2006, though, when the problem hasn't really been there in the last 10 years.

Warriors are going to have to pay Curry next year and Durant the year after that. Good chance they lose some talent and are brought back down to earth. Lebron's also getting up there in age and his inevitable decline is due any season. So odds are the GSW/Cav domination isn't going to last too much longer.

Outside of that, I already agreed that the NBA should get rid of max contracts in order to level the playing field.

KD can opt out at the end of this season. He might be a one-year deal. Warriors could probably sign both but they'll have to be really frugal with the bench. Pretty much title chasing vets.

I mean they're loaded with FA talent too, though they have been really good about getting amazing guys through the draft and shit too like Kawhi

Sebudai Sebudai how do you feel about how the Spurs have done what they've done? Do you feel that they're part of why the NBA is so shitty?

The Spurs are coached by the Bill Bilicheck of basketball and they used perfect timing to get the best power forward of all time. Grats. The league is still fucking retarded.

The Wizards worry me a bit this year. I'd rather face Boston in the ECF.

In some ways I'd prefer to play the Spurs is the Finals. I think it would be the more interesting matchup. The Warriors being as loaded as they are just won't make for a good Finals unless you're a Warriors fan.

Kind of enjoying Sebudai's mental breakdown over the Warriors being so dominant since 2015.

Why? He's a baller. Jealous that he's a better PG than Kyrie?
