holy shit, why are so many of these horrible movies being made?
Because they're cheap and don't require traveling a lot while the world was on lockdown. This looks like they just flew 15 people at a McMansion and filmed the whole thing in 3 weeks.

They're probably going to be dumping a ton of cheap "we filmed this during a pandemic and it sucks even more than usual" movies this fall.

If they rented a McMansion and filmed it in 3 days it would b a modern porn. And through editing they would get like 5 different movies out of it.

i can understand the cheap and lockdown aspect, but Clerks was made for 28k dollars. only had a handful of characters and is a comedy classic. too bad they cant spend time on developing a good premise/story first.

I'm sure this will make more money than Clerks did in the theater.

Behavior is motivated by incentives. There is very little incentive to create good art when crap art sells.

it looks like a chick movie, based on a book written by a chick, but its an original story. its not a reboot of anything, no CGI sparklefest, no Crawdadverse, no big name self important actors and so it might even have good acting. fuck, i may check this out.

popped up on torrents, think its one of those "delayed due to covid and then just released on streams, fuck it" movies. pretty laughable and typical Rich Hollywood Actors lecture audience on how white people are evil and brown people are angels, you can tell the twist at the end is durka durka forgives and probably hugs them. woulda been awesome if he and his jihad army beheads all the foreign devils and his name was Osama Bin Laden

I want to make a movie where rich white liberals go to shithole Mideast country to help the oppressed poor Muslims and find that they hate rich white Americans so they murder the men with dull knives and take the white women as slaves.

wait is that Finn from Rise of Skywalker? lol

also RIP Omar :(

yeah, that goober already made a thread on it, because of course he would. i thought this was the movie Boyega walked out of in mid production. nope, that movie is still pushed back because they had to recast him. this must have been an earlier work or this is what he walked out for.
