So yeah, looks super fucking cool, not even remotely worth the effort. Same required level as the normal starmetal stuff. Only made the chest piece, the rest is starmetal.

That's not too terrible actually. If you had just gotten a slightly higher const roll and a gem slot that would be a solid item.

I actually can't believe they fixed the pastor walsch respawn but not this boar pen shit which after doing it is WAYYYYYYYYYY more egregious than the pastor rate. The amount of exp and items I've gotten in just an hour is pretty absurd.

Oh, I also ran the Depths and it was a catastrophic failure. I'm not sure if it's just cause one of our DPS was too low level (42, the other two were 46, tank 46, healer was me at 47; tank and one of the DPS had done it before), but we just couldn't kill the last boss at all. Think we tried about 10 times and I spent a fortune in repairs, and the best we got him was 1/4 left in phase 2.

Hoping it was just people that suck, but I dunno. It's definitely going to be a sticking point for some, and since it's the main story quest, it'll be interesting to see what happens.
Ive ran it multiple times for exp. Some people are just bad, and unfortunately - a shitty healer or tank is way more evident in this game. One group I was in, we all used the corruption weapon coating on the last boss and he just melted. I'm really starting to be in the weapon coating camp for everything cause that shit is just so good. Your whole group doing an extra 20-30% damage, smacking his ass for 1200-1500 damage light hits is just obnoxious.
That's what I made. The 110 heavy armor that takes 10 corrupted talismans. It's...not good.

I mean, it'd be good for a level 30 something, but for anyone who can actually run the depths, it's not worth the trouble. I'll screenshot it next time I log in.

Unless there are dropped recipes for 40 to 55 armor (which would be dumb since they'd be super rare), I don't see anything to bridge the gap from the 100 armoring skill stuff to the 150. As I said, the 100 and 110 stuff is nearly identical, except the 110 shit requires dungeon drops and you can use the skill mods (the 100 stuff you use stat mods, which I actually prefer for these, since the skill mods are subpar stuff).
So the way smithing works and outfitting is that your armor will never be better than droppable/dungeon/pvp stuff UNTIL you start slotting in rare resources. There's absolutely no reason to socket voidmetal and pristine claws into level 35 armor, so no one is really doing that, but if you DID, you'd see a high stat and ilvl jump for those items. Most people SHOULD be saving those rare resources for high end lvl 60 stuff to go for the big ilvl explosion crafts to truly min/max it.

In Beta Fae Iron seemed to be much more common (or I just had more luck mining food, not sure) and I was slotting it into weapons and they were coming out really well compared to other weapons found or crafted at that same level.

Kind of a crafting oversight, they probably should've added more blue/purple reagents specifically for tier 3/4 type of stuff that can be upconverted to T5 mats. As it is you wouldn't want to waste them, but if they dropped guaranteed from same level dungeons that would be pretty cool so people could fill their bad slots with juiced same-level gear that would last a bit.
Pretty much what Xevy said. Higher tier resources is going to boost up the item level. Secondly, your crafting skill for that item type needs to be like 25-30 levels higher than whats required to make it. Im sure you've noticed that when you're mass crafting shit - that as you're crafting 60 items, that the item level continues to go up and up and up as theyre made. Gear is swapped out so often as you level, that I think its a bit of a waste to make any armor or weapons for personal use. Jewelry is a bit sketch though, in that Ive went several levels at a time and never gotten a new earring or similar.

I really feel like they need to scale back the sheer quantity of loot you get in this game. Coming out of an expedition with 30-40 items that are 99% trash is just annoying as fuck. If they scaled it down, then crafted gear would probably be a lot more sought after. Hopefully this is something they address in future updates. Spending weeks on getting all the Voidbent gear is going to be in the feelz if its replaced by a green in the 60-65 update, for instance. Similar to what WoW has been doing the last 15 years.

Fuck this man. The customer service is non existent. Never got a response about my entire lost shed and now my faction token cap is bugged at 15k despite being max rank. I never got the upgrade to 25k at rank 4 nor 50k for rank 5. And people have been reporting this for like 5 days.

This is the future of MMOs I feel like. 0 CS for debilitating bugs.
I feel like the whole "buy to play" model is being treated as some kind of excuse to keep expenditures down. Theyre also inundated with morons that are reporting shit thats not necessarily a bug, but more along the lines of future updates that arent supported in this version. There was a thread on reddit where this guy was complaining he couldnt close a tier 6 portal rift that was level 65. Well no shit you cant close it bro, the MSQ hasnt progressed into that tier yet.

Im curious how theyre going to handle the upcoming content patch since most of the stuff is already in the works. Will it be free, or are they going to charge 20 bucks for it, ala GW2/ESO.

I played around in the boar pen for about an hour when I was in that level range. Not only is the respawn stupid, but one out of every 4-5 boars would yield 510 exp from skinning it. It would go 10, 10, 10, 510, 10, etc. Wasnt from leveling or anything, so it was really odd. But doing that shit makes you miss out on obvious quest exp, crafting, mats etc. So I dont think its egregious as people may think.

Okay, , so I know I'm way late to the party, but is there any way I can get into the server that you guys are on, or is it locked? I'd be interested in giving this game a go, but don't want to be solo on some random server with no one I know to play with.

Either people getting Covid through email or interest is quickly dropping for this game. Half the people I watch been sick this week or just log in for the wars a hour or two then drop back offline. A couple already complaining about viewer numbers being down as it is over saturated. Far Cry 6 isn't doing any better. Just came out and people getting like 50% normal game viewers. I get lots of people are actually playing but when streamers take a viewer loss, they quickly move on, when they move on the game becomes under 100k concurrent players worldwide. I thought it would be November before it happened but I am betting by next Friday. The game can survive with 100k if it is making money. Does it have a online store or something?

What is the worst weapon and why is it spears?
Spear is very good for pvp. The CC it offers is better than probably any other weapon. Damage wise for PVE it could be better, it's like a lack luster Rapier bleeder. The talent for 10% increased damage for consecutive heavy attacks USED to stack on mobs infinitely making it awesome for dungeon bosses, but they fixed/broke it so that the 10% applies once then resets. Very shit.

The initial launch hype is over, and the people checking to see if they're going to want to play themselves have seen what they want to see stream-wise. This happens with almost any new game launched.

The fact that the streamers are still streaming as the viewer counts start tanking is actually a decent sign for the game, not a bad one. It implies the people playing the game are outlasting the curious types. This is compared to something like cyberpunk where streamers are like "fuck this" as fast or even faster than the viewers. Or any game bolstered overly heavily by sponsors, as soon as that shit ends and the big dogs bounce, it feels good for the smaller streamers - but doesn't mean the game was ever good.

That said, it's a grind game with albion levels of resource bottlenecking, so a lot of people who like casual quest style play or more linear tradeskill progression will pleb out.

Yeah, I saw the cap for the territories was 300 other day and did a double take too. The grind in this is real. EQ nerds should love this game, if they aren't already playing it. The constant progression in everything, even when you are max level, plus the perfect roll chase make this a lot of fun. It is a weird mix of BDO, Diablo and EQ, and some elements of others. They stole a lot of solid ideas.

There is another catch to this problem. If you die on the boss, you do not get quest credit...........even if your remaining players kill him.

I find that to be kind of shitty. As bad as its targeting can be, it is easy to suddenly have no health. The death ray as an example can look like it will hit you and then you take no damage. You can be behind him and on his left and one wild swing nails you still.

The game has some work left just to get it fixed to this release point.

Ok, let me update this as I figured out what is going on.

If you are trying to complete a dungeon boss quest and you die during the combat, do not hit respawn until either the group is all dead or they have killed the boss. If you respawn during the combat, you lose both the boss loot and the quest advance if they kill the boss. I do not understand why respawning during the combat should matter, but it currently does.

Okay, that makes sense.

Speaking of, yeah, that shit is way too rare. I need mana pots for healing dungeons, but I haven't seen a single T4 or T5 resource to make one yet. What the fuck? Am I basically supposed to only use T3 potions for the entirety of the game? Obviously no testing went into this.

Huh? Lol spear is insane in both PvE and PvP. The damage is insane and the CC is ridiculous. Not sure what there's not to like about spear.
Yeah if Strength wasn't so op for levelling (hatchet is basically broken) I'd go back to Spear/Bow/Musket in a heartbeat as I loved Spear. It's a beast in PVP too

I have a ton of dragon fish jaws, and a couple soulwyrm tongues, but zero soulsprout flowers.

I'm wondering if maybe it's one of those things where you need food, trophies, and gear with chance to harvest rares to get them? In which case, again, it seems like a lot of stuff is balanced around people having endless resources at 60, for shit that you need in the middle levels.
