What a mess, who knows what to believe. Lines like: "The NFL responded to this claim by stating that requests filed with the Atlantic City Police Department and New Jersey State Police were denied." make things murky, is there truth to that statement or just PR/covering their ass talk.
That's meaningless. They still had knowledge of it because it was identified and recognized in public court.

I just don't understand how the league could have fucked this whole thing up so bad. The NFL can afford the best lawyers and PR people in the world. Who cares if Goodell never saw the video? One of his players dragged an unconscious woman out of an elevator like a sack of potatoes. What other theories were percolating around NFL headquarters as to how she got that way?
The video just confirmed what was already known. It just gave Goodell and the Ravens a chance to fix the original dumpster fire of a punishment decision, which is where the focus still should be if ESPN and others want to talk about this shit all day long.

No, that's actually not at all what matters.
The video and its contents were documented in court. Which means, above all, Goodell plainly and openly lied.
This is more egregious an act than anything else & warrants his immediate resignation.

I need to vent about Redskins fans. I know no one cares since the team is irrelevant, but holy shit these people are delusional.
They all still believe there's a Hall of Fame quarterback hiding in Griffin. He just needs more playtime to get that all ironed out. The eye test doesn't work for them though, it's all just stats. "Well, he was 29/34 for 250 yards or whatever the fuck this week, that's amazing!" "Did you see his rookie year? Best of all time!" "Last year doesn't count, his knee wasn't right. He needs the 2014 season to get better."
I feel like maybe I'm just losing my mind or something. I watch Griffin and I see a quarterback who:
1. Can't read a defense pre-snap.
2. Doesn't see the field at all. He had a DB rushing at him for10 fucking yardsdirectly into his face and didn't see him until 3 yards away.
3. Can't step up into the pocket, nor does he have any pocket awareness.
4. Can't hit a receiver unless he's 100% college open (DB is 3 yards away). He also can barely hit a receiver in stride.
5. Looks like a fucking newborn deer when he takes the snap. I swear I've never seen a football player move like he does. It's like his body and legs are disconnected and he's just flailing around (reminds me of that Track and Field flash game).
6. Speaking of running, he can't even outrun defensive tackles and ends anymore.
They also don't seem to realize that when people shit on the Browns, the Redskins are right there with them. It's an absolute joke of a franchise, but these idiots think we're just a few plays away from the playoffs every year. Fuck, our last few playoff appearances have all been in seasons where the team started terrible at like 3-6 or 4-7, and then rattle off an amazing amount of wins by some fluke accident before getting crushed in the playoffs.
I don't know how someone be so optimistic despite all evidence that you shouldn't be. And it pisses me the fuck off.
Now we can go back to discussing Ray Rice.

On the McCoy deal, the waiter probably deserved it. He is in the service industry and if he gave poor service he deserves no tip unless it was something out of his control. I don't care how much money you make, doesn't mean you tip just to tip.

Ha, yeah...I read Extremeskins every once in a while, too.
I'm also somewhat convinced that the coaches have little to no power over Griffin outside of calling plays on game day and stuff. I'm suspicious of Snyder by default when it comes to meddling, and I'm honestly not having much trouble imagining a situation where Griffin and his family have more access to the owner than anyone outside of Bruce Allen. It's also why I think Griffin will get a big contract next year no matter what happens this season. Danny wants to be the next marketing overlord like Jerry Jones and Griffin is the guy to get him there, apparently.
That might be a lot of tin foil hat but that's where I am with this franchise. Assume the heads are stuck up the asses until proven otherwise.
