On the McCoy deal, the waiter probably deserved it. He is in the service industry and if he gave poor service he deserves no tip unless it was something out of his control. I don't care how much money you make, doesn't mean you tip just to tip.

On Rice, I thought I seen the Casino came out and said if NFL would have asked then they would have gave, the video was available. If this is true, Goodell should be gone.
If you read the yelp reviews on that place, PYT burgers, it's pretty clear their service is consistently bad.

Ha, yeah...I read Extremeskins every once in a while, too.

I'm also somewhat convinced that the coaches have little to no power over Griffin outside of calling plays on game day and stuff. I'm suspicious of Snyder by default when it comes to meddling, and I'm honestly not having much trouble imagining a situation where Griffin and his family have more access to the owner than anyone outside of Bruce Allen. It's also why I think Griffin will get a big contract next year no matter what happens this season. Danny wants to be the next marketing overlord like Jerry Jones and Griffin is the guy to get him there, apparently.

That might be a lot of tin foil hat but that's where I am with this franchise. Assume the heads are stuck up the asses until proven otherwise.
Oh, absolutely. This franchise is stuck with RG3. He could start having 5 interceptions every game and there'd be pressure from the front office to stick with him. I mean, they literally gave up the future for this guy. The worst part is there are fans that would still be defending him. Probably blaming the offensive line.

Pretty much the same way that legality is blurred any-time in the USA.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Well yeah I understand that but you can't claim it was illegal for the NFL to obtain it and then try to ignore the fact that it doesn't make it illegal for TMZ to obtain it, I mean you can do it but it makes you look like a fucking complete idiot which is exactly what Goodell and the NFL looks like in this matter.

But yeah Money is usually a pretty solid reason for a lot of things.

I don't think it would make you a fucking complete idiot at all.

TMZ's business model is to buy this type of footage for publicity and breaking stories, it would make complete sense that they would spend millions of dollars to get the footage.

There's almost no chance in hell that the NFL is going to spend millions to just SEE the tapes.

I thought there was some shit about the casino going out of business, which is why TMZ was able to buy the tapes.

Try to keep up, if the NFL getting a hold of the video would be against the law, how is it then not against the law for TMZ to get the video. You have to be an idiot to not understand that, it can't be illegal for the NFL to obtain the video while being legal for TMZ to obtain it regardless of anyones willingness to pay any amount of money for the tape.

That is likely what happened. However we have the NJ attorney general office claiming that the NFL obtaining the video would have been against the law.

A spokesman for the attorney general's office told ABC News on Tuesday afternoon it would have been illegal to give the NFL a copy of the video. This remains consistent with the NFL's statements that requests for the video were denied. The league's office maintains that the NFL had not seen the video prior to Monday's release by TMZ. The video depicts Rice knocking Palmer unconscious.
How come they aren't going after TMZ if obtaining the video was against the law, sounds like they are trying to protect the NFL to me.

Huh? It's not illegal for the NFL nor TMZ to possess copies of the video.

Nor it is illegal for the casino to sell copies of the video.

The only "illegal" action would be if the court/state of New Jersey released the video - thats only because it was ruled out of the courtroom, meaning the prosecution was unable to use it. therefore unable to distribute it.

Oh ok maybe I am a bit dumb, so the league asked the police for it and it would have been illegal to for them to give it to the NFL. I'd like to think I just misread the article but Im pretty certain I was just fucking dumb.

Really dude? We just talked about how TMZ was able to bypass the laws and get it. Money.

NFL wasn't willing to spend the money to bypass the legality of the issue to get the tape.

You're really telling me to keep up? shit dog.

I think the situation was that Rice was pending criminal charges and that tape was evidence first and property of the casino second, so releasing it outside of the police and attorneys wasn't supposed to happen. Now that Rice's case is taken care of (sorta, if he gets in trouble again they can bring it back) and the casino is out of business it opened a path for TMZ to get their hands on it after the league thought they had put the worst of this behind them.
