To repeat and now confirmed: Bears starting QB Jimmy Clausen over Jay Cutler on Sunday vs. Detroit, per sources.

I guess I wasn't stupid after all when I suggested they let Catler go and sign McCown for half the money.

Yeah who played pretty well last year on a team that has not been garbage for years like the one he went to.

Cutler doesn't seem to give a shit on the field , but neither does anyone else on the Bears. The whole staff has to go. Need someone that can motivate the players.

Who's the biggest train wreck in the league? I think the Redskins would have been the obvious choice but the Bears are giving them a run for their money. Both of them make Jacksonville and Oakland look reasonably competent, as bad teams go.

Right now I would rather be a Raider then any of those others. That could be my west coast bias though.

The hit the Bears will take on cutting Cutler is too much. He will be there next year. It is funny as fuck that Clausen is starting.

He's like a 16 mil cap hit if he is cut. I bet the bills or rams could trade him to the Rams or Bills or Texans. I would love to see the inagural LA Rams Quarterback be the Catler

Someone I work with was just telling me that Cutler wasn't calling the plays they were asking him to. Also said something about the last second TD might have tripped some contract bonus $$$$

Yeah, that's been his "supposed" landing spot continuously - probably because of the alma mater connotation. I've also been hearing a bunch of worthless chatter about him landing the Bears job, likely being tossed around for the same reasons as the Michigan rumors. I think it's really just going to depend on the HC vacancies in the off-season, but I still think there's a vague chance he finishes out his initial contract.

We'll take Harbaugh. We need someone to light a fire under all these players' asses.
