Marino really should be #1 on just about everyone's all time list. I'll never understand why stupid people insist on taking the defense and running game into account.
Well Marino wasn't exactly a stud in the postseason...56% completion, 32 td's and 24 int's.

Why is that surprising? Even as a Bears fan I don't expect them to win the Super Bowl as the D has way to many question marks. There would need to be a remarkable improvement for them to even challenge for anything other than a wild card spot. The offense will still be good sans the Holmes shooting Cutler scenario referenced.
there are a lot of equally good teams this year. San Fran, Denver, Seattle, Patriots. In order I'd guess at their chance %s being - 10, 12, 13, 9... thats almost half of the possible outcomes contained there for 4/32 teams.
Divide the remaining 56% among other good teams and it's no wonder the runts are at literal fractions of percents.

Marino never had the talent backing him up other teams did. I just think he was the best pure passer I've ever seen play the game.
