I really like Tim Ryan. The 49ers actually got him quite a bit the last few seasons, and he's gonna be their new color guy on the radio starting this season.

There's a difference between following a game and really understanding it. You can't even tell what formation the defense is in and having to piece 5 different camera angles together every play is a lot more work than I want to put into it
Unless you're watching on a SDTV then I really don't know what you're talking about. Rarely are you unable to see the safeties on defense before the ball is snapped.

Edit: And that DirecTV thing isn't very exciting. Says that it's only available in places where you can't get DirecTV service. Oh, and it's still a minimum of $200. $330 if you want RedZone. So it's essentially about the same cost, it's just an option for people who can't have a dish.
