There are other teams with worse uniforms than that. Only thing I don't like is how large the logo is on the helmet.

Kirun is speshul.
He is, but his logic isn't wrong. If they don't get him signed to an extension early and the team drags him to another Super Bowl they will end up in a Flacco situation. Where they have to cave in to his ridiculous demands.

This all could have been avoided of course if they just held on to the better, classier QB. Alex Smith probably would have demanded less money and just asked the team to donate to cancer kids. Man he's a great guy...

The Buccaneers may have bailed the Jaguars out of the "worst uniform in the NFL" trophy.

Fucking christ. Looks like I won't be buying any of my team's new apparel for the foreseeable future.

They don'thaveto cave to his demands. They can just Dilfer him.
Yeah but Dilfer got zero credit for them, Kaep gets too much credit. So the pressure would be much more Flacco-like.

Of course they don't HAVE to cave, but giving up a franchise QB these days is insanity. Whether we agree with it or not that's how he'd be viewed with a ring. When Flacco was signed everyone seemed to agree that it was retarded, and that they sort of had to do it.

That's just it. I don't want us in a situation where we have to cave into his demands. Now, is it possible that he regresses a shitload, the 49ers completely shit the bed defensively, the Cardinals and Rams both get better(like the Rams will get better, lol), and we don't even sniff the playoffs? Absolutely. But, we also went toe-to-toe with one of the best defenses the NFL has ever seen, and had a chance to beat them in their house. The only teams that make that kind of regression are the Giants and Ravens. So, it's a very unlikely scenario and an extremely costly gamble to make. It's better to realize that we don't really have any other options, get him locked up in a "spending more than we probably should, but at least it isn't completely insane" deal, and see where the chips fall.

Kaepernick would be stupid to ask for less; doesn't mean he'll get what he wants. He needs to develop his pocket passing and presence, but he's been very good in the playoffs overall. Other than the 4'th quarter vs. Seattle the guy has been money in his 2 postseasons. Does he get more credit than he deserves? Perhaps. But he also gets shit on more than he deserves. The vultures are quick to circle and shit all over him when he has a bad game.

Also Boldin signed to a 2 year $12 mil. deal. Great signing.

There will always be mediocre qbs that will play for far less than 18mil a year and can make a deep playoff run with the team they have right now. But if they want to give the weakest part of their team the biggest contract, more power to 'em

I think he was saying if you throw any QB onto the Niners, they could make a deep playoff run. I don't necessarily agree. Just need a decent game manager who can make a big play every once in a while.

Been wondering what the Saints are going to do about Graham. If they try to tag him as a TE they stand a decent chance of losing him.
Well they put the non-exclusive tag on him so it looks like the saints are getting 2 first round picks.

No one's going to give up 2 first rounders and pony up $12mil+/yr. for a 270 lb. slot receiver. He's the product of a system that throws him the ball 150 times a season. On any other team he'd probably average 700-900 yards/yr.. Gronkowski and Vernon Davis are both superior all around tight ends, and they're both signed at about $7mil./yr.

Since nobody can even agree on most of the mediocre QBs, i'll list the qbs who could take the niners to at least the NFC championship: Both Mannings, Brady, Rodgers, Brees, Roethlisberger, Luck, Flacco, RG3, Wilson, Smith, Stafford, Romo, Palmer, Ryan, Dalton, Newton, Rivers, Foles, Stafford, and Cutler. That's 21 starting qbs I'm confident could win with the great D, running game, receivers, O-line that the 49ers have.
