Kind of makes you wonder about all that "bubble players will make this team by performing well on special teams" that every coach seems to spout off about.

This is the shit that burns so much. I actually liked most of his draft, Preston and Jones could contribute this year. It's just a total fucking fail at #5 to draft Scherff and then move him inside to guard. If he's your Day 1 starting RT, #5 is okay. If guard is his ceiling why the fuck didn't you trade down 10 spots and grab him there, or, barring that option...just pick Williams.

That's about what I expected. If those kids ever had the potential to play in college (or even the NFL) they just pissed it away. Even if they don't get a lifetime ban they'll certainly be suspended from school, which should make them ineligible for the rest of the school year. Unless those two kids are the second coming of Ronnie Lott, no college is gonna touch em.

I liked the idea they were finally going to try to improve the O line. It's been Trent Williams and mostly spare parts for awhile now. The running game looked good in Griffin's rookie year with the read option, but has fallen off as his health did. The actual player they got clearly could have been had later than #5, and has proven underwhelming so far. He still could be a long term starter and a useful player, but I doubt anyone will argue that they will get full value for that pick if he only plays guard.
What a dumb ass kid. There are probably half a dozen plays a game that you could take that guy out without it being so obvious. Deserves what ever he gets.
