I still laugh that we picked up Armstead in the 3rd round as our LT and they just signed him to a 5 year deal because he came in late his first season to take over as our starter. I hope Andrus Peat turns out to be a solid starter also.
Even better is Eric Fisher sucks yet we found a 3rd rounder better than #1 overall lol. Fuck you KC!!!!

Whats really funny is Wentz's school is basically the Alabama of the bush leagues. Everyone on the team is for the most part a better athlete than the person they're lined up against. One of the biggest issues that some people say with evaluating Alabama talent is that since the entire team is better than the majority of the other team how much did each individual contribute?
Sounds like someone I'd want to stake my future on!

They were in the best position in a long time to go down and get a QB. I'm glad they did it. There are a lot of QB's getting old in this league and I don't want to get into a bidding war in the next few years trying to move back down for some spread offense QB that will still be a 50/50 chance just like Wentz.
Wentz looked good at the Senior bowl too.. He's looked good in everything he's been involved in. His question mark is game speed, Eagles think by having him sit out a year, they can catch him up and make his release faster, he has all the tools. It will always be a 50/50 chance, anyone saying they know one way or the other is a fucking liar! but at least this guy has a brain to go with the physical tools

You hit the nail on the head here for why I wouldn't want him. I'm not mortgaging my future on hoping that this guy can pick up playing at NFL speeds. QBs coming from Div1 to NFL already talk about how much different the speed of the game is I wouldn't throw my future away on some dude who is used to playing against sub-par athletes. There is never a guarantee a QB will work out but Wentz is far too boom or bust for my likes.
I'd be interested to know what scouts/GMs actually think of the senior bowl. To me it is just a glorified combine/pro-day. I put very little stock into it. It is probably a better insight to the coaches working directly with the players for prep than the product on the field.
